Yes, I’ve been rinsing this photo… but here’s the thing.

I’m genuinely so proud of myself.

The last few years haven’t exactly gone how I imagined. I’ve had plenty of setbacks from playing, plenty of moments where I’ve questioned what was next and where I was going.

But somewhere along the way, I found something I genuinely love doing.

Media.

What started as something I enjoyed has turned into something I’ve tried to maximise every opportunity I’ve had with. I’ve backed myself, taken chances, worked with some unreal people and clubs, and slowly built something I’m genuinely proud of.

And the mad thing is, I was once told I’d fail Media at school.

Now, this Saturday, I’m heading to a Super League Grand Final working in the media.

For someone who always dreamed of playing in a Grand Final, it’s obviously not quite the way I pictured it.

But honestly… I think this is a pretty close second.

Proud of how far I’ve come. Proud that I kept going through the setbacks. And most importantly, excited for what’s still to come.

September is suicide prevention month.

This is a reminder to anyone reading this that it’s okay to be vulnerable and it’s okay to ask for help. Being brave is understanding that not everything can always be okay.

We don’t have to pretend to be okay all the time or figure things out by ourselves.

Whatever you’re going through, you are loved, supported and cared for and this is not the end!🤍
