“World of Rain” out today. A song about flooding. The streets flood, the houses flood, infrastructure of our world and our society, can’t handle the rain. Inspired by Mother Nature and it’s profound performances throughout my life in Texas floods and Savannah hurricanes. @timothy_chalomet_hater @zendaya @barbie ft @jalenreyesband and @vikramperrymusic on the background vocals Off upcoming album Releasing in December by @spezgaar
First single off upcoming album Spencer Garland ... and his Grass is Greener. Vocals - Sophie Brochu (@fauvelyyy ) Pedal Steel - @dylanpuckett We moved to Savannah in April 2023, having only visited for the first time a few weeks prior. We were looking to start over yet knew very little what that meant. After only 8 months, I ended up back in Austin for a 2 month residency, which let me appraise my decision to have left. After 2 months and a stint in NY and LA as well, my flight home caught me off guard. I was listening to Mariah on the plane as we flew over the marsh and looking down on my new home, I felt a sigh of relief and resolve that we had landed in the right place. by @spezgaar

This record began in 2020 during very strange times for us all and followed me during a huge transition in life, and now it’s done. Huge extra special thanks to Mark Konkol @konkolskorner for pushing me to finally get this out and helping along the way in a major way. Love you Mark. “Best Friend” is out today. This video is the genius of @tategibson , and the product of about 2 years of correspondence between myself and Tate. I came with a general story line, and the rest was all Tate’s imagination run wild. The story of two people in love who find their way to each other despite all of life’s obstacles. I’m forever appreciative to Tate for all the hard work and persistence over those years, even when I was off the map for months at a time, the video kept inching along and finally had made it to your eyes for your consideration. The art is beautiful and the story weaves along perfectly with the music. ❤️ Best Friend is, pure and simple, about Sophie, my partner of 9 years. The lyrics say it all, she’s been the mirror that I’ve needed, the rock for me when I’ve been blindly finding my way, my everything this past decade. And as simple and foundational as that is, so was the tracking for Best Friend. @myselfjeffolson @spamkey @ben_brown_music showed up one afternoon and after never having heard the song, nailed it in about 3 takes live, and thats what you hear on the recording. I especially love Sam’s bass melody throughout. Watch the video, Link in Bio “Best Friend” streaming now on all platforms (Apple Music might take another day) by @spezgaar
