Who said cats can’t be trained?

This video shows the process we did to get Hairy comfortable with his @rexspecsk9 goggles.

They have some great training tutorials on their website & YouTube, so I took that similar logic and adapted it very slightly for a cat!

The reality is, although things look one way on Instagram, they can take time and practice.

Hairy is now super comfortable in his goggles after 1 month of working with him and he really enjoyed every moment of it.

Now he’s be ready for his next adventure, sun, wind, snow, or on the water!

We followed these 4 steps to get him comfortable:

1) we popped out the lens and got him comfortable with the goggles being on his face
2) having Hairy learn the command “goggles” to he knows he will get treats when he puts them on him
3) having him feeling comfortable with walking around with the goggles done up on his face
4) we put the lens back in and followed the steps, so he would be comfortable
5) he is ready for another adventure

Ski you later ⛷️❄️

I was serious when I said I was going skiing!

This was Hair’s first time on the slopes, with his love of snow & adventures we wanted to let him try it out!

We only did a short run to start, to make sure he was comfortable & he loved every second of it!

I decided to hold him too, as he was more stable that way rather than on my shoulders.

How’d you think we did?

Sweater weather means bundling up for a little woodland adventure 🍂🐾

Hairy staying cozy in his carrier this time, taking in all the sights and sounds of fall 💕

When you pawty with a princess (princess of pandas 🐼) you bring the good stuff

We’re a little late in celebrating Miss Ember’s 1st birthday, but that just means the treats keep flowing for longer 🙌

Of course post snacks, we had to clean up & Hairy couldn’t let Ember go out as a mess 😂🩷

Please tell me I’m not the only sphynx owner who does this 😂🫣

Back home from travelling, means full weirdness is unlocked & apparently this was one smooch too many 😂💋

Hairy wasted absolutely no time making himself at home in Chicago 😂

Exploring the @palmerhousehilton lobby, checking out the views and obviously keeping tabs on everything happening outside 👀🏙️

Just casually sightseeing in Chicago… until Hairy saw some sights of his own 😂🐦‍⬛

Crown Fountain at Millennium Park is a must if you’re ever in downtown Chicago. Sightseeing with this little adventure cat is never boring 😂

Snack in hand, but what do you think Hairy spotted? 👀 Wrong answers encouraged 😂

Summer adventures with this little adventurer always come with distractions. ☀️🐾

These Ninja Turtles don’t live in the sewers… 🐢👀

Hairy was completely fascinated watching the turtles swim around the pond during our adventure. Safe to say we stayed there a little longer than planned. 😂

I love seeing what catches his attention whenever we explore somewhere new together.

Has your pet ever been completely captivated by wildlife?
