08/08/2001 ❤️ I’ll never forget this birthday. Not because of the places I went or the things I did, but because of the people who made me feel so deeply loved. At dinner, when everyone started singing “Happy Birthday,” I looked around the table for a second and just took it all in. I looked at the faces of people I love, people who have loved me through different seasons of my life, and I just felt overwhelmed with gratitude. There was something about that moment that made me realize just how lucky I am to have people in my life who genuinely celebrate me. And then there’s the memory of my friends singing Happy Birthday to me in the middle of the Stockyards when they saw the clock hit 12am 😂 Most of the friends in that moment are people I’ve only met this year… kinda lol. I think that made it even more special to me. Because I’m realizing more and more that it’s not always about how long you’ve known someone. It’s about how they show up for you. They didn’t have to do that. None of them had to. But they chose to. And that means more to me than I can really put into words. I’ve always been someone who loves hard. I show up, I celebrate people, I pour into the people I care about, and I never want the people I love to question how much they mean to me. Somewhere between all of these moments, I found myself feeling really proud of the person I am and, even more so, and loving the person I’m continuing to become. I’m grateful for every version of me that got me here, and I’m excited for every version of me that’s still to come. Honestly, I’m sitting here crying as I type this because it’s already a memory. A birthday that I was just living in is now something I get to look back on. To everyone who showed up for me, danced with me, traveled for me, laughed with me, celebrated me, checked on me, thank you. You didn’t have to, but you did. And I’ll never take that for granted. My heart is so full and my 25th birthday is officially a memory I’ll carry with me forever ❤️ Here’s to 25🥂✨ by @spiffy.o
