YOU LOVE THE CAGE — OUT NOW!
“And now that you’re free, you don’t love me anymore”

The song tells one side of the story.... the video tells the whole truth

One of them found the way out, and the other stayed chained to the floor... who really left who? 👀

👉🏼 “YOU LOVE THE CAGE” is the band’s third single. The song tells the story of a couple who, while locked in the same cage, held each other up through hunger and hardship and kept going no matter how little they had, until one of them breaks free. From the narrator’s point of view, it’s a story of abandonment: now that you’re free, you don’t love me anymore. But the video tells a wider version. She isn’t free, because she’s still trapped by addiction, while he managed to overcome his and chooses to move on. There’s no longer a clear victim, and the story becomes much more complex and layered

🎧 As for the audio, the track was composed by Sergie Code, with Nawe on drums and Santi on bass, and mixed and mastered by Nico Resnikof at Romaphonic Studios

📺 The video was directed and edited by Sergie Code, with cinematography by Jay Notley, and keeps the band’s 100% Steampunk aesthetic. It was shot in Lincoln, at Lincoln Cathedral and the Drill Hall, and in London, at St Dunstan in the East Church Garden. Huge thanks to the whole cast and crew, none of this would’ve been possible without them

🔗 Check it out, the full video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lwc_AZ6QHik

🔥 “Choose to Believe” is the band’s second single and the first one entirely filmed in London with a 100% Steampunk aesthetic. The videos were shot in Shad Thames, Tower of London, and Greenwich. The lyrics talk about how we’re manipulated through post-truth, making the masses behave according to powerful interests while convincing you that you own “the truth”

🎧 As for the audio, the track was recorded at @romaphonic Studios featuring @sergie_music on vocals and guitars, @djnawe on drums, and @000santito on bass. The song was mixed and mastered by @nico_resnikof , with drum engineering by @sebastiantanocavalletti

📺 The video was shot by @notleyjay , with invaluable assistance from @moonoria and @veg_sabbath . Huge thanks to them both, none of this would’ve been possible without their support.

🎸 What an incredible Saturday we had at @greatsouthernse19 in London!

🙏 We want to say a huge thank you to @afterdarkeventsproduction for inviting us! We’re a relatively new band, so having them believe in us and give us this opportunity means so much to us. @pauldarkbrown , @russmartindrums and @dead_to_shred also run @thegreatjamsession , creating a space where so many musicians can come together, share and connect, and that is truly priceless. I met so many amazing people there and I’m very happy to be part of it

❤️ We also want to thank @madamelondonking , @fireghost_music and @veg_sabbath for joining us on stage and singing with us, and @russmartindrums for stepping in on drums while @angiecrsartori is in Brazil recovering from a health issue. We’re sending her lots of love and strength and hope to see her back with us healthy very soon

🔥 And what an incredible line-up of bands and musicians: @trs_trainrobberssyndicate @profumo_affair @human_crushing_machine @bitingfauna @magerison_music @charlie_smith_music @louis6162 taken in The Great Southern by @spinorsband
