To my baby sister … Joy

I remember us being little girls sometime in the mid to late ’90s. I was around fourth grade, so we couldn’t have been more than eight or nine years old.

We were in our shared room at the apartments at Hickory Lake off Haywood Lane, sitting on the floor playing Barbies and creating these whole little lives for them. Love, husbands, homes, families, all the things little girls imagined life would someday become.

There was one particular day I remember so vividly, and I honestly don’t know why that memory stayed with me all these years. But even in my young little soul, I remember knowing something about you.

You were always a lover girl. 🤍

Of course, back then, what little girl wasn’t dreaming about love? But looking back, I realize it was always a little different with you. You didn’t just play out the fairytale. You genuinely believed in love and always wanted a love of your own.

So watching you get married this past July felt incredibly full circle for me.

Life carried us from that little bedroom on Haywood Lane, playing Barbies and imagining what grown-up life might look like, to me watching you become a wife and step into a chapter that the little girl in you had dreamed about long before either of us understood what love truly required.

And I was so happy that you found waters that calm you. Of course it had to be a Pisces to come along and put a little water on all that fire. 😂♓️🔥

Shoutout to your husband for finding you, and to you for finding him. For choosing one another and finding something real beyond those childhood ideas of what love was supposed to look like.

And I know Dad was there. Maybe not in the physical way we would have wanted, but I know he had a front-row seat to the entire thing. I know he was proud of you.

This Video isn’t about the weights!!

There was once a period that I was restricted in getting this low due to back injuries but more specifically gut issues and gut pain that would get in the way. I am so happy to now be able to get low.

While I am still figuring things out that contributed to the pain.. the one thing I knew had to go was bread… it was satisfaction or health and health won!

Took my talents to EOS in Dallas and man this gym did not disappoint!! Messed around and found myself in here for 2 hours!

I have 3 things I am personally happy that have been accomplished:

1. Being able to finally squat low without pain from belly region. IYKYK!

2. Getting back on the 45s- I was SOOO happy!

3. My waist is getting more snatched and I have to thank myself for having the courage to put bread down. Praise the lord I am free from Celiac Disease- however, I realized I have a huge intolerance for bread 🥹
