1. Round bones of the feet— fleshy pads— connected to the pelvis and the spine— queer sides of the feet— add rhythm— falling
2. My audition for American idol. Using breath to sound (with feeling and nostalgia)
3. Putting it all together

Introducing 𝘈𝘳𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘖𝘥𝘥 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘴 2026: 𝘜𝘛𝘖𝘗𝘐𝘈𝘚 project: Sucker by artist Paris Cullen.
—
“Sucker“ is a public solo performance asking questions about decomposition, grief, transformation, feeling, and the connections between us through imitation, tuning, and falling scores. The audience should look for a character between 14th street wearing their heart on their sleeve, prompting passerbys to question their attention and connections to each other.
—
Paris Cullen is a queer performance artist based in Brooklyn whose practice is based in imagining and world building through solo and group improvisation. Their interests include: contact improvisation as a queer practice, systems of mutual support, breaking, spherical space, visual art, and voice, body, and energy work as modes of embodiment and liberation.

STRENGTH TRAINING (queer community class)!!!!

Informed by my experiences with breaking, contact improvisation, and a NASM personal training certification, my practice of strength training helps me build physical and emotional resilience. Working between weight lifting, calisthenics, cardiovascular exercises, functional movement patterns, breath and energy work, we practice building strength, embodiment, and responsiveness in the aliveness of our bodies together in community.

Sundays 12-1pm starting 9/13
@theflooronatlantic (310 Atlantic Ave)
$20, DM me if funds are a barrier

CHICAGO! Come dance with me!

An all levels weekend intensive exploring improvisation in and out of contact. Using the technology of the spiral we will find new body pathways and enter improvised worlds; finding suspension and surprise. We’ll play between strength and softness with the inherent intelligence of our bodies, practicing remaining embodied, responsive, and wild.

October 24: 10am-3pm Mind Body Connection
October 25: 12-2:30 OPEN JAM AT CONSTELLATION (Paris leads warm up), 4pm-7pm Mind Body Connectionl

PORTAL BODIES is an 8 week series that offers focused research of embodiment strategies, contact improvisation, and collective practice through improvisation proposals, technique building (drawing from CI, tai chi, parkour, street dance, nervous system regulation, + more), and collective harvest.
This space is dedicated to the people gathered in the room, the inherent intelligence of our bodies, and skill building to remain embodied + responsive in a world that prefers docility.

We are honored to be offering this series in its fourth iteration. A big thank you to all who have made this space what it is and to those who continue to show up for more. If you’ve been interested in joining, now is your chance!

All skill levels and ways of moving are welcome.
**Physical touch is always an optional component of the practice. Consent is a non-negotiable, we move together at the speed of trust. [shoutout adrienne marie brown <3]
