Sometimes I feel a little funny calling myself a cowgirl because I didn’t grow up doing a lot of this.

Horses came later. Rodeo came later. A lot of the western world came later. But I’ve asked a lot of questions, made plenty of mistakes, have fallen in love with it and am here to stay!🦋

My general approach to getting dressed:
Does it need cowboy boots? Probably.
More turquoise? Most definitely.
Am I overdressed? Mind ya damn business!🤫

Apparently $348 was the exact price required for me to decide if I could figure out how to make these myself. I spent about $35 on fabric and supplies, and hoped for the best.😅

Honestly??? I’m LOVE how they turned out.😍

Now I just need to style them 👀

A different layer, a good belt to add some shape, some standout accessories, or swapping your boots can completely change a look. And personally, I think the accessories are like 80% of the fun!🤩

There’s just something about a rodeo.🩵

One of the few places left where we can bow our heads and publicly pray together, stand for the anthem, cheer for people gritty enough to climb onto animals that may or may not try to launch them into another zip code, and call it a good night out.😂

Add in the horses, the grand entry, arena lights, good music, and an excuse to wear a really good outfit…I rest my case.😤
