Today, I don’t just celebrate another year of life.

I celebrate the version of me that kept going when nobody knew how tired I was. The version that lost pieces of himself, questioned his worth, outgrew things that no longer served me, buried old dreams, and still somehow found a reason to wake up and try again.

I’ve survived days I never thought I would see the other side of.

And somehow… I’m still here.

This year, I’m not asking life to be easier.
I’m asking myself to never abandon me again.

With every introduction comes another silent audition, another chance to prove that his kindness, loyalty, talent, and heart are worth acknowledging. But the more he seeks validation from others, the more invisible he feels.

This psychological short film explores the quiet pain of wondering why your value isn’t recognized at first glance and the exhausting cycle of feeling like you must constantly prove your worth. It asks a question many carry but rarely speak aloud:

Pain was only a concept until it became my biggest threat.

Mr. Pain isn’t ONLY just a spoken word piece…Mr. Pain is your next major slasher who feeds off the variables of mental and emotional distress. Thriving off the inhumane thirst of broken hearts and discouraging intangibles that afflict the one thing that’s the driving force of his purpose….PAIN. Accompanied by his hammer called “The Burden” and his dagger, Mr. Pain is relentless once he discovers that someone is enduring the very thing he feasts upon.

This spoken word piece is dedicated to how pain that is afflicted onto us can stalk us while we leave it unresolved. When we are bleeding and not doing anything to close the wounds we tend to bleed on everything and everyone around us. We have to figure out a way to dispose of our pain or it will ultimately catch up to us and dispose of us.

Validate Me is a psychological short film about humanity’s quiet dependence on external approval. A man discovers a mysterious machine that listens, analyzes his deepest insecurities, and gives him the validation he’s been craving. With every interaction, he feels more understood, more confident, and more complete.

But validation can become addictive.

When the machine suddenly stops responding, reassurance turns into desperation. What once brought comfort now exposes a painful truth: when your identity is built on the opinions of others, silence can feel unbearable.

Validate Me explores the fragile relationship between self-worth and approval, challenging viewers to ask themselves one question:
