April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

A month that means a lot to me because of people in my life that I care about. The reason I will always be an advocate and defend those I love.

In the US:

• 1 in 5 women and 1 in 71 men experiences rape.
• Nearly half of the female population & 1 in 6 men have experienced some form of sexual violence.
• Nearly 70% of sexual assaults occur to children ages 17 and under.
• 1 in 3 women experienced verbal sexual harassment in the workplace.
• 1 in 4 women report technology-facilitated sexual violence.
• 26.4% of female undergraduates and 6.8% of male undergraduates experience rape or sexual assault involving force or incapacitation.

Forever and always will I stand up for the victims in my life. Most assaults will go unreported due to fear of retaliation, lack of faith in investigators, and due to a back log and lack of investigation into sexual assault and rape kits. Victims fear violence, blame, shame, and fear that those who are meant to protect them won’t.

The divine mothers look over the victims of the world. If you see something, say something. Call out the behavior. by @spirituallyhaunted

I can no longer stay silent and complicit with posts on this page. I don’t care what bridges this will burn. ICE needs to be abolished. They are torturing people — living, breathing human beings. They are executing American citizens. They are sexually assaulting immigrant women. They are targeting children.

I apologize that I haven’t spoken up on this page sooner, but please know I have not been silent. I’ve been sharing and posting information elsewhere.
They are murdering our neighbors and injuring countless people. This has to end. Renee Good was a mother of three, her last works being “I’m not mad at you.” Alex Pretti, a NURSE in the ICU for the VA, his last words being “Are you okay?” I cannot stand for this any longer. Innocent people are dying, being kidnapped, and tortured.

You can no longer be silent on this, you need to be loud. They are coming for us, it will affect you. ICE called Renee a “fucking bitch” after executing her, and refusing to provide her treatment. They then assassinated her character, labeling her as a domestic terrorist, even utilizing AI images to create their narrative. They killed Alex Pretti, then clapped, and instead of rendering care, stood and counted the number of bullets that entered his body. This is a totalitarian fascist regime. As a nursing student and an EMT, I cannot stand by this. I cannot be silent. I go into situations where I could be next. It wouldn’t be the first time ICE pulled weapons on an ambulance crew, or shooting a nurse, or executing an American citizen. The government is lying to us. We need to stay vigilant, and stay recording.

To Alex and Renee’s families, I’m sorry you are going through this. I’m sorry that the government is ruining your family members’ reputations. Specifically to Alex’s family, I’m sorry you weren’t even given the decency of a law enforcement notification, but rather found out because of an AP reporter reaching out. by @spirituallyhaunted
