My name is Xila, and the path to founding @SplashSkinStudio wasn’t linear—it was intentional.

I studied both massage therapy and cosmetology, gaining hands-on knowledge in skin, bodywork, and healing before realizing those industries weren’t aligned with the longevity or purpose I was seeking. Still, that foundation stayed with me—it taught me how the body responds, heals, and holds memory.

Alongside that, I’ve spent over a decade as a mixed-media artist and musician, always drawn to the space where beauty meets what people are told to hide.

For over 10 years, I’ve also worked in the cannabis industry, supporting cancer patients and individuals navigating chronic conditions—helping restore sleep, appetite, and balance. That experience shaped my understanding of what real holistic care looks like.

As a second-generation Caribbean Indigenous woman raised in California, I approach skin restoration with both cultural awareness and precision. My work is rooted in detail, intention, and the belief that healing is both physical and emotional.

Now, as a paramedical tattoo artist, I’ve brought all of that together.
