Always looking for ways to elevate the experience of everyday life, from our Hammock baths, sculptural slides & custom commissions

POSTS STORIES REELS

A private residence by Lake Chiemsee, Bavaria, where architecture, colour and materiality come together in unexpected ways.

Interiors by Julia Stöckert / Atelier Yay, with architecture by BAND Architektur. At the heart of the house, a sculptural chrome slide introduces an unexpected sense of play to everyday life.

A home that balances contemporary design, craftsmanship and imagination.

Photographed by Daniel Schäfer, exploring the relationship between spaces, natural light and the distinctive character of the interiors, with styling by Erika Gómez.

Tryst is arguably the most sculptural of the Splinterworks slide portfolio with its tangle of curves and stoic stance. As the centrepiece for this project - it added just the right drama and intrigue day or night, when in use or not. For making memories and sparking excitement. #pool #slide #splinterworks #pooldesign

Danke @ad_germany !

"The slide came first. The client, an Australian, loves slides — he visits slide parks and wanted one for his home, too: a chrome model designed by @splinterworks in England... Long before the interior designer entered the picture, this single wish was already set in stone. It was an unusual starting point for an interior design project, even for professionals like Julia Stöckert of Atelier Yay. She embraced the challenge and set about creating a space for it — a space where this dramatic, standalone feature could become part of a harmonious design concept."

Introducing Cirrus, a new piece in the sculptures portfolio. The mesmerising form with a beautifully tiered spiral, echoes the natural geometry of a vortex or a layered cloud formation.

This piece brings artistic drama, sculptural interest and ambient aquatic acoustics to its surroundings.

Two Englishmen in the most overcast country on Earth have elevated the Chuck E. Cheese-inspired plastic pool slide to the sublime. Yes, actually. But fair warning: you’re going to want one. See how @splinterworks is doing slides differently in the all new Riv! by @splinterworks

“Two English Man in the most overcast Country on earth have elevated the Chuck. E Cheese-inspired plastic pool slide to the sublime. Yes, actually. But fair warning: you’re going to want one.

When I visit a @splinterworks slide in real life, it looks even better than it appears in the images reproduced herein, like an installation or better yet extalation (my word) by Anish Kapoor. How is it that a slide creates so much drama and interest and yet somehow seems to impose a sense of purpose? From a distance it doesn’t even look like an object. It looks more like a flyby from the Silver Surfer. The slide I happened to visit is in the Hamptons. I asked the owner if he’s ever had any sort of issue with it. “Not once in three years,” he says “I wish everything here worked as well.”

Properly placed, a Splinterworks slide bends the light and image in a way that humans find irresistibly magnetic and mesmerising. But unlike Anish Kapoor’s Cloud Gate, this Splinterworks slide is yours and you can climb on top of it. Oh, and slide down it. Like Fred Flintstone in the opening credits.”

MAKE an entrance.

More new pieces from the @splinterworks sculpture portfolio for you to digest.

Introducing Curvatura. A contemporary architectural water feature that instantly captures the eye through a beautiful balance of opposing forces.

This outdoor water artwork beautifully fuses two opposing elements: the fluid, hand-sculpted curves of mirror-polished, marine-grade stainless steel and the razor-sharp, geometric precision of the waterfall itself.

Curvatura forms a pair of landmark waterfall entry pillars outside the minimalist doorway of a private residence, its crisp waterfall providing a dramatic welcome to the property.

Because first impressions count!

This project immediately reminds me of Chicago’s iconic “Bean” sculpture. The polished stainless-steel surface of the slide is mesmerizing, constantly reflecting and transforming the surrounding landscape, architecture, water and sky.

Early in the design process, we worked with our client to reconfigure the swimming pool while also collaborating with Splinterworks to refine the placement and orientation of the slide. The goal was for the slide to become more than a sculptural element—it would create a visual portal through the landscape.

Depending on where you stand, the opening frames views either outward from the residence or back toward the home. In this photograph, the slide perfectly captures the spa, swimming pool and primary seating area, all set against the dramatic vaulted glass dormer of the living room.

It is a great example of how thoughtful placement can transform a functional element into a piece of sculpture, while creating intentional views and unexpected moments throughout the landscape. by @splinterworks

And you thought we only made slides and baths… Introducing Cintura, its diminutive size belies the impact it makes on its surroundings. Designed to encourage quiet reflection, the hand-made mirror-polished, marine-grade stainless steel, has a cinched, vase-like silhouette.

Cintura - is italian for ‘waist’ (pronounced chhh - go on have a go!) Water gently spills over the perimeter in a delicate, uniform curtain before vanishing into a hidden, subterranean reservoir, creating a captivating, seamless focal point.

In true Splinterworks style, Cintura reimagines the traditional water bowl, elevating a classic garden fixture into a shimmering, weightless sculpture.

We hope you enjoy our foray into sculptures and water sculptures. You can see more of our new portfolio on our website 🩶
