Splitrock Studios is a private live-work home that can house three artists and creative professionals at any given time.

Each resident will have a private bedroom suite, dedicated studio space, and ample individual storage space. There will also be thoughtfully designed communal space for the residents (living room, kitchen, dining, laundry).

The property is designed around a pretty simple idea: where you live should support the life you are trying to build.

If this sounds like it might be a fit for you, you can learn more and join our Interest List via the links in our bio. We can’t wait to get to know you!

Only Good Things.

You are all a part of our community and your support thus far has already made such a powerful impact on us and our dream.

This is just the beginning. Follow along for more.

What have we been up to over here at Splitrock Studios?

Well, it’s been a busy summer! The concrete slab floors are poured, all of our windows and glass are in, and our rubber roofs are installed and water tight!

Progress is steady, with some weeks seeing massive changes based on certain trades working hard and milestones being accomplished!

Up next is exterior insulation and all of the rough mechanicals.

Want to learn more about what we are planning to offer? Want to join our interest list to become an artist resident here in Spring 2027? Check out our website!

Only Good Things.

"Not in death, but just in sleep; the fateful prophecy you'll keep, and from this slumber you shall wake when true love's kiss the spell shall break." ✨

Sleeping beauty has been on the list for a long time for me and when I started talking to @jessthefairy recently (a literal real life fairy and a wonderful person) I knew she could bring this to life EASY 🩷

Thank you to @abigail.seabrook for the help also!

Happy Labor Day weekend! We know we’ve been quiet over here, but the job site has been anything but. There is a LOT happening as the whole building is getting rough mechanicals squared away. Turns out this is a really big project with a lot of decisions to be made on the daily! 🤪

But we’ve also had some fun decisions as we get to plan out our finishes for the spaces. Neither of us are designers, but we are both artists with pretty keen eyes. Luckily we are surrounded by our primary inspiration: natural tones, textures, and a desire to let the view outside — and the art inside — do most of the talking.

One flooring sample, cabinet swatch, and paint card at a time!

Only Good Things.

Glass. Is. In.

These crews were absolute glass animals installing our atrium, windows, and doors amidst this summer’s heat waves. 🧊

Can’t wait to clean bird poop off the atrium glass for many years to come!

Up next: the roof!

Concrete is IN! The three garaged-studios and the owner’s side garage bays were poured in late May, with both sides of the basement getting poured earlier this month. Peep those steel edge caps Ryan shared about in the last video — they really give the garage entrances a sleek look and some added durability.

Man it feels good to walk on solid ground in these spaces!

Only Good Things.

Concrete floors are almost here!🪨

One of the final things we wanted to do was create some metal curbing to protect the six garage bay entrances here at Splitrock Studios. We took some scrap rebar and some metal angle iron we ordered from @carriagehillcraftmetals and welded them up over a weekend!

They are now installed in the concrete forms and ready for the pour! Stay tuned for a concrete video coming out soon!

Only Good Things.

A look inside the framing process! This project continues to be an absolute feat, but to finally be able to walk in and out of rooms and up and down stairs has been an incredible change.

There’s so much more happening now, we can’t wait to share more!

Only Good Things.
