@splitter_splatter is an experimental performance act from Amsterdam. The group is known for its unique blend of instrumental music, visual arts, and theatrical performances, often incorporating puppetry and collaborative projects with other artists and collectives.

Splitter Splatter describes itself as a “fantastical pop act” and has been involved in various performances at living rooms, art galleries, music festivals, parades etc. across the Netherlands and beyond. Focus is on taking the audience into a colourful unique hand-crafted world, with sculptures, set design, knitted costumes and music.

Terugblik naar het ‘Dromen zonder Drempels’ van vorige zomer. Wat was dit een leuk project! 🥰

In de zomer van 2025 was de opening van de foto expositie ‘Dromen zonder Drempels’ bij RAUM Utrecht.

In ‘Dromen zonder Drempels’ worden beperkingen niet verborgen. De expositie laat beperkingen juist zien als bronnen van inspiratie en fantasie! Van zachte beren en supersterren tot zwevende raketten en reuzenglijbanen – elk beeld vertelt een verhaal van toegang, van anders zijn, van mogen meedoen.

Kinderen met én zonder een beperking fantaseerden vrijuit over spelen. Hoe beleven ze spelen? Wat missen ze? En waar dromen zie van? Hun verhalen werden vertaald door No Limits! Art Castle in samenwerking met fotograaf Tommy Smits en kunstenaar Splitter Splatter.

Luister naar verhalen die vaak niet gehoord worden, voel wat meestal onzichtbaar blijft, en speel op manieren die je misschien niet kent.

Ok here we go, here are some of Splitter Splatter’s highlights of 2025. It was a very eventful year for the group with so many changes, two of us with small toddlers, one new baby joining the group this autumn and another one on the way. Also one of us moving to Norway and another one out to the countryside, very curious what the next year will bring for all of us!

We want to wish you all a colorful, inspiring and hopefully more peaceful 2026 👁️🌟👁️

Splitter Splatter update 🌟

We now have a fourth Splitter Splatter baby joining our world in a couple of Months and will be taking some time off from performances to all focus on the little ones. But who knows, maybe a new miniature act will be forming soon 👶

In the meantime I will be working on some new costumes and ceramic sculptures which will be presented in the new year as I am moving to a new home outside the city where I hope to get my raku kiln set up 🔥 and the knitting mills going strong! 🧶

Last few weeks to go see Splitter Splatter on view at the group exhibition ‘Nieuwe lijnen’ at Villa Mondriaan in Winterswijk curated by the lovely Marian Genet on show until 2 nov. 🎨👾

With @iekelienestange @mari_ann @carmenschabracq @christinadekorte @judiths_pool @dirry.nl @lisettevanhoogenhuyze @joana.n.schneider @hadassah.emmerich

Negen hedendaagse kunstenaars reflecteren met hun deelname aan de tentoonstelling Nieuwe Lijnen op de thema’s vriendschap en vereniging. Op uitnodiging van curator Marian Genet worden haar ruimtelijke installaties samengebracht met de speelse objecten van Christina de Korte, Iekeliene Stange, Dirry de Bruin, Lisette van Hoogenhuyze, Judith Pool, Carmen Schabracq, Joana Schneider en Hadassah Emmerich. De werken nodigen uit om plaats te nemen in de textielinstallaties, de trappen van Judith Pool te beklimmen, of te turen naar de experimentele glaskunst van Dirry de Bruin. Nieuwe lijnen geeft inzicht in de vraag hoe kunstenaressen hun positie in de kunstsector kunnen versterken door het vormen van een vereniging of het oprichten van een collectief.
