For SPLOT’s first ever longplay, there could only be one name. 𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 comes from @dadan.k11 – the author of the label’s first release in 2022 and, since then, a producer whose work has reached Berlin’s @awkwardlysocialberlin and @sneaker_social_club, one of the UK club scene’s essential imprints. His music has been part of SPLOT’s DNA from the beginning, so opening the album chapter with anyone else never really made sense.

Across eight tracks, 𝗱𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗻 channels different shades of cityscape music into a raw, minimal and rough-edged vision of urban pressure, low-end architecture and dubwise space. Subtly drawing from the layout, atmosphere and everyday rhythms of Sępolno, a district in Wrocław, the album sits somewhere between experiment, dubstep and grime – filtering the sound of the city through 𝗱𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗻 𝗸𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗹𝗼’s unmistakable signature.

Dwie ekipy, dwa miasta i jedna miłość do undergroundowej kultury klubowej.  Od długiego czasu śledzimy wrocławską ekipę SPLOTu, która jest dla nas wzorem ambitnej selekcji i wydarzeń wyznaczających znak jakości na swojej lokalnej scenie. Dlatego mega jaramy się, że ŚLINA i SPLOT łączą siły, aby przedstawić wam przekrój rozległego tematu dubowo-basowych brzmień.

Zjednoczeni w inicjatywie SPLOT od 2019 roku w celu promowania brzmień i gatunków, które dotychczas rozpowszechniali w swoich audycjach autorskich, odpowiednio w: Burn The Roots, Night Bus i GRIT.

Kolektyw cechuje otwartość, odwaga oraz muzyczna wszechstronność, a jego celem jest nieustanne poszerzanie gatunkowych granic lokalnej sceny muzyki elektronicznej. SPLOT wyrósł na uznaniu dla historii undergroundowej kultury klubowej na Wyspach Brytyjskich. To brzmienia z pogranicza najświeższego techno, dubu, UK bassu i połamanych rytmów.

Nakładem labelu ukazało się dotąd dziesięć wydawnictw, a na imprezy klubowe SPLOT sprowadził do Polski takich artystów, jak Objekt, Skee Mask, Batu, Mala, Zenker Brothers, Darwin, Rhyw, Low End Activist, Doc Scott, Forest Drive West czy Neffa-T. W 2025 roku SPLOT przejął kuratelę programową nad sceną basową na LAS Festival.

What a way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon: catching a flight, meeting friends and doing this show with all 3 of us — spinning SPLOTty tunes and chatting on a mic from this cool little booth… in front of people chilling, smoking, having beers in the Parc de Bruxelles in the middle of the city.

Glassz, a key name in Wrocław’s scene and beyond, brings SPLOT to Warsaw, backed by a tight lineup.

Anna Kost (Berlin), DJ, producer and founder of 2247. Known for sharp, forward-pushing selections and textured club energy that moves between techno, bass and experimental forms. Releases on Hotflush, Who Whom and ÆX, with appearances at Tresor, RSO, ://about blank and Watergate, alongside names like Marcel Dettmann, Polygonia, Scuba and Shackleton.

Joining them is Michał Macewicz, Wrocław DJ, Ciało resident, sound engineer, producer and long-time force in the local electronic scene.

We think we’ve finally made it back to reality after this journey… but honestly, we’re still not entirely sure = )

Substance for the second time but with even more memories, meaning and emotion attached to it. Everything felt a little calmer this year. The days moved more slowly and we were prepared for anything that might happen. We did it all with the thought that this might be the last page of this chapter for our SPLOT kru.

That feeling stayed with us throughout the fest. Thankfully, we were surrounded once again by a beautiful crew, from everyone working behind the scenes of @las_festival to the close-knit community that built around our Substance stage.

Big up to everyone who made it possible. To every artist from Poland and abroad who helped shape another beautiful edition. And to everyone who danced, supported us, smiled with us and stayed until the very end.

Sharing those final embraces on Sunday morning, while the last track drifted through the soundsystem, felt like the perfect closing moment.

If this was the end, we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful one! 🩵

A little while has passed and other things swept us away, but we’re now getting close to a full month since @dadan.k11’s urban planning saw the light of day >>

As per tradition, we’re sharing some of the wicked feedback we’ve been getting. Big shout to everyone supporting our first-ever LP and dadan karambolo’s deeply personal trip through bass mutations, low-end architecture and urban melancholy.

The dust hasn’t quite settled yet after an absolutely brilliant weekend at the @las_festival, and we’ve already got the SPLOT reunion to look forward to – a joint trip to Brussels to host an hour-long broadcast from the iconic @kiosk.radio.

Staying true to our radio roots – not only will we play a b3b set, but we’ll also host an impromptu show discussing the latest SPLOT news – the label’s newest and upcoming releases, a brief recap of the Substance stage, and our plans for the near future 🎙️

🏙️🎛️ Czy da się zamienić osiedle w album?

Dla @dadan.k11, współtwórcy kolektywu i wytwórni @splot.wro, Sępolno stało się punktem wyjścia do muzycznej opowieści. Nie dosłownej, lecz pełnej emocji, przestrzeni i codziennych rytmów, które trudno uchwycić słowami.

W audycji PL gra rozmawiamy o eksperymentalnej elektronice, inspiracjach płynących z miasta i o tym, jak bliskie otoczenie może stać się częścią artystycznego języka.

Oiiiii, what happened yesterday??? Last one. Maybe the last ever Substance Stage at @las_festival. If so – massive love for everything! 🤜🏼🤛🏽

We’re saying goodbye in proper style: post-dubstep, dubstep, UKG and all kinds of related pressure from @d_4rce b2b @genoe.21, @taannatalia in a meditative in-dub format and our own @dadan.k11 joining forces with @oskimoron for their first grimey MC collab together.

Then comes @subbasics, head of @soundtempleof and a true wizard across UK bass music forms, from dub techno and dubstep to hypnotic-tribal drum and bass.

After that: one of the key figures in shaping the sound of dubstep – the man, the legend @djyoungsta, supported by Croydon veteran @pokestagraph, the legendary voice synonymous with DMZ, Swamp81, Deep Medi and beyond.

Closing duties go to @hitmandubz from @dungeonbeats, bringing heavyweight dubwise pressure to round off the night. Big love to @blank.gda, who sadly can’t join us this time.

And then us. SPLOT b3b for the farewell. 🤫
