To explain the why behind the new Spoak, we decided to pack a decade of philosophy and emotion into a minute long video. ⁠

The short version is that somewhere along the way, interior design became something we consume instead of something we do. We scroll beautiful homes, save inspiration, shop the look, and follow people with impeccable taste. ⁠
⁠
We wanted to create an alternative: a place that treats interior design not as an industry you need permission to enter, but as a creative practice anyone can develop simply for the love of it.⁠

The new Spoak is a digital studio where interior design lovers can practice, experiment, share ideas, and gather with one another. ⁠

And today, the studio opens its doors for the first time. ⁠

As of literally 5 minutes ago, you can now create photorealistic renderings from your Spoak designs!!! 🪄 ✨ What an insane, years-long dream realized to be able to use our super simple drag and drop Viz design tool and then turn it into *this*. Try it now 〰️ open any room Vizi, click share, and “generate photorealistic image” and boom shakalaka it’ll land in your inbox 💥

Spoak member @ana.prieto is inviting us over to her East Nashville apartment, a neighborhood that Ana describes as “an eclectic, artistic part of town.”

Both a realtor and freelance interior designer, Ana loves being a part of the entire process from beginning to end. “I find it fascinating.”

A Spoak member since 2023 (“I have been obsessed ever since!“), Ana says “keeping design and creativity as a hobby is extra crucial when it’s also part of my career. My home is definitely where I am able to practice the craft. With a passion for sourcing vintage and secondhand furniture, my home is a passion project of its own. I love the character, history, and imperfections that come with older pieces.

My home has slowly become a trinket-filled collection and there’s something so special about indulging in a space that can count as a mini museum of your life.”

We're hiring for a Head of Community! You'll be our first dedicated community hire, and you'll build the programs that bring Spoak to life. As part of a very small team, this role is equal parts strategist and operator: you'll take a big idea, strategize and design exactly how it should work, and then make it happen. ⁠
⁠
One day you might be writing the playbook for our campus ambassador program, the next you're hosting an artful dinner party at a member’s house, and the next you're sourcing members for home tours and spotlights. ⁠
⁠
You'll report directly to the founder & CEO, Hilah, and your work drives our two biggest growth loops. For our business, it's equivalent to a Head of Marketing role.⁠
