Part drawing,part painting on muslin, 60”x43”Florentina , Elinor’s new friend, would read out loud to her each afternoon, after lunch and before their nap. And yet it wasn’t a reading of words but a response to Elinor’s drawings in the book. Florentina would improvise a story by scanning carefully the language of the pencil line.For Elinor it felt like two magnificent giant eyes were seeing her whole and the feeling caused her to raise her hands spontaneously. by @spongebarbier

Elinor surrenders to the chorus. They will not stop. Their plan was always to eliminate the boundary between she and them. They followed her into the wilderness, penetrated her hiding places and settled in with her when she sought shelter in a one room cabin. Their singing became the composition of her thoughts and feelings ultimately breaking through the wall she had steadfastly erected to keep them out. Presently the task at hand was to invent the most efficient way to carry them on her journey. by @spongebarbier
