A What a beautiful weekend it was at The Drip Boulevard! From our Music & Thrift in-store activation to the energy of The Hip Hop Floor, this was definitely one for the books. 🥹🔥

We’re incredibly grateful to The Hip Hop Floor for the opportunity to collaborate and create something special around Hip Hop, Music & Streetwear Culture. We’re looking forward to many more collaborations and activations together. 🙌🏾

A night where style met sound and the energy never dropped 🔥

@thehiphopfloor brought Johannesburg to life as we celebrated the birthday of @speedstabro in true elite fashion. Hosted at Shine Studios in the heart of Braamfontein, the scene was nothing short of iconic suits tailored to perfection, ties crisp, and every guest stepping in clean with undeniable drip.

From the moment the doors opened, the atmosphere was electric. Smooth blends of R&B and hard-hitting hip hop kept the crowd moving all night, creating a perfect balance between groove and hype. Every set felt like a moment, every track a memory in the making.

With @remymartin flowing and perfectly paired with @sprite_rsa and @playenergydrink, the taste hit just right, elevating the vibe and keeping the dance floor alive. Each sip matched the rhythm, every beat pulling people closer to the moment.

On the fashion tip, the drip spoke loud without trying. I stepped out in a Balenciaga thrifted blazer layered over a clean Thom Browne shirt, finished with a thrifted Prada slim tie for that sharp, vintage-meets-luxury edge. Paired it with Zara baggy formal pants and the classic Air Jordan 3 Black Cats to bring that street energy into the formal look. My guy @selfmade_cheeseboy came through heavy too, rocking a custom-made Japanese streetwear suit, styled with a Thom Browne shirt and clean Sebago shoes. Together, the drip was way too much, effortless, bold, and unapologetic.

It wasn’t just a party, it was an experience. A celebration of music, culture, fashion, and pure Johannesburg nightlife energy. @thehiphopfloor once again proved why it’s more than an event… it’s a lifestyle.

The air felt different the moment I stepped into the room. It wasn’t just the star power; it was the weight of the legacy. Standing there was @mslaurynhill , radiating that effortless, soulful grace that defined a generation, alongside @wyclefjean, whose energy still feels like it’s vibrating at the frequency of a global anthem. It felt like a live playback of The Score, seeing the two of them together.

But the magic didn’t stop with the Fugees. Seeing the Marley bloodline represented by @zionmarleyofficial and @ygmarley added a layer of spiritual depth to the encounter. You could feel the “One Love” philosophy wasn’t just a lyric—it’s a lifestyle they carry. YG’s presence reminded me that the torch of Reggae is in very capable hands.

Then the following day @dstvdeliciousfestival, the lights dimmed and the music took over. Witnessing them perform live was nothing short of a religious experience. To hear Ms. Lauryn Hill’s voice—raw, velvety, and powerful—cutting through the air gave me literal chills. Wyclef commanded the stage with his signature musicality, turning the venue into a celebration of sound.

The highlight of the night was undoubtedly hearing the smash hit “Praise Jah in the Moonlight” live. When those first notes hit and YG Marley began to sing, the energy in the room shifted. Seeing him perform that track—a song that has taken the world by storm—while his mother stood by, was a beautiful display of the Marley and Hill legacy coming full circle. The transition from Hip-Hop to the deep, rhythmic pulse of Reggae was seamless; it’s an energy you can’t capture on a phone screen, you can only feel it in your chest.

Grade African really went above and beyond, curating a space where African roots, Hip-Hop, and Reggae collided perfectly. It was more than a meet-and-greet; it was a reminder of how powerful music is in connecting us all. I’ll be telling my grandkids about this one.
