🚨COMPETITORS: IMPORTANT CSDC DEADLINES🚨

If you’re planning to compete at Spooky Swing, make sure you know these deadlines.

Self placement through CSDC ends October 1.

If you do not currently have CSDC points but compete at or above the Intermediate level, you may petition to compete at that level at Spooky Swing.

To petition, send BOTH of the following:

2 videos of you dancing
Your competition history, including:
• Events you’ve competed at
• The level you competed in
• Your placement at each event

WE NEED YOU.

Spooky Swing is looking for volunteers to help us bring the weekend to life.

From check-in and staff support to keeping things running behind the scenes, our volunteers are a huge part of what makes this event happen. And yes, there are perks.

If you love the dance community, want to meet new people, and want to be part of the action without taking on a full staff role, this is your chance.

Volunteers work (3) 2 hour shifts through out the weekend and receive a discounted full weekend pass at $75.

The countdown is creeping closer, and we’ve got line dancing on the agenda. Check out when you can catch Nicki breaking it down at Spooky Swing!

Nicki is a Portland, Oregon–based line dance instructor who discovered her love for dancing in 2016 and began teaching locally in 2022. As Co-Captain of the PNW Stompeders, she has combined her passions for dance, performance and administration. Nothing brings Nicki more joy than sharing her love of line dance and supporting the dance community as a whole. Cheering others on is her first priority, always.

The most rewarding part of conventions isn’t just the dancing. It’s the people you meet, the friendships you build, and the memories you create along the way.

When you’re part of this community, you meet so many people from all over. Some become close friends. Some become familiar faces you look forward to seeing every year. And sometimes, a convention is the only place you get to see them again.

That’s one of the most exciting parts of convention weekend. Looking around the room and realizing just how many people you know. Getting to hug the friends you haven’t seen in months. Meeting someone new on the dance floor who might become a friend for years to come.

So mark your calendars and come spend Halloween weekend with us at Spooky Swing.

Reconnect with old friends. Make new ones. Dance until 3am. And fill your camera roll with the kind of memories you’ll be talking about long after the weekend is over.
