Went to visit our friends over at @spoonandfork916 today!

What we tried:

- lechon kawali plate
- calamansi chicken wings
- calamansi cucumber agua fresca
- biko latte
- sinigang chicken wings (this is not a full order, just complementary that they wanted us to try out!)

My personal favorites were the lechon kawali, sinigang wings, and the calamansi cucumber agua fresca!

The wings were hands down the crispiest I’ve ever had 👌🏻

Seatings are limited, so try to come early if you can!

We have some BIG NEWS!!!

Spoon and Fork is going to be featured on an upcoming episode of Diners, Drive -ins and Dives on @foodnetwork airing this Friday, May 22nd at 9 pm.

This is honestly such a huge moment for us, and we’re super excited to finally share it with all of you. A lot of hard work, long days, and love goes into what we do every single day, so being able to have our restaurant featured is really special to us.

We’re so grateful for everyone who has supported us, ordered from us, shared our posts, told friends about us, and continued showing up , both here at Spoon and Fork and at The Lumpia Truck. Seriously — THANK YOU!

It’s What’s In My Cup Wednesday! Happy Wednesday!

This week I made it into a spot that has been on my list since they opened last year and was also recommended to me by coworkers! Welcome to @spoonandfork916, which is a family-owned Filipino restaurant in Sacramento.

Soo, what’s in my cup?

🥤Biko Latte // $7.00
Espresso, condensed milk, house cream, coconut caramel, sticky rice, over ice.
10/10

Also ordered:
💙 Pork Adobo plate // $15
+ added egg and garlic rice // $4.00

Wow wow wow! This was my first time having a Biko Latte and was intrigued by having the sticky rice in there. I have to say, it was so good! A little sweet and a little salty is my kind of combo so this was perfect! It was creamy but didn’t find it too sweet.

Food wise, per usual, I wanted to try everything on the menu 😅 But went with the Pork Adobo Plate and added the garlic rice and egg. HIGHLY recommend the garlic rice, you will not regret it. Also, the egg was perfectly cooked. The flavors of this plate are always so comforting and adobo has always been a favorite of mine.

Word on the street is that they can get really busy and have a line out the door. Another recommendation would be to order online and pickup. The process was very easy and made for a smooth pickup!

If you choose to eat there, just a heads up that it is a smaller space, but you can also take it to go.

If you are looking for some tasty, traditional, freshly made Filipino cuisine, you should definitely add this spot to your list! You may also be familiar with their food truck, @thelumpiatruck.
