Sometimes the hardest part of jiu-jitsu is simply stepping onto the mats for the first time.

It’s okay to be nervous. It’s okay to be unsure. Courage isn’t the absence of fear. It’s showing up anyway.

Every black belt started as a white belt, and every journey began with that first brave step.

At Springfield BJJ, you don’t have to be fearless. You just have to be willing to try.

FEAR LESS. LIVE MORE.

FEAR LESS. LIVE MORE.

Courage isn’t the absence of fear. It’s choosing to move forward anyway.

This October at Springfield BJJ, we’re focusing on COURAGE, on the mats and beyond.

For our kids, courage can look like trying something new, standing up for a friend, admitting a mistake, coming back after a hard day, or being kind when it’s difficult.

Because the courage they build here becomes confidence they carry everywhere.

Congratulations to one courageous kid, @thomas_grapples 🙌🏻🥇

Nothing sets your week up for success like spending a little time on Sundays to get some super tough rounds in. Keep showing up for each other and putting in the work! 🙌🏻

We have a great week planned! See you on the mats!

💀 THE BIG GUY SAGA CONTINUES💀

POV: You accidentally make eye contact with the big guy when the coach says, “Find a partner.”
One minute you’re training jiu-jitsu. The next, you’re auditioning for WWE Monday Night RAW with The Undertaker. ⚰️😂
Everyone wants to get better… until the big guy needs a round.

Yes, it’s Monday and there’s a Chiefs game on tonight. Yes, you should still come to class. Andy Reid isn’t going to be there for you when you have to fight someone over a parking spot at Costco, but you know what will be there? Your jiu jitsu skills.
See you at class tonight! #springfieldbjj #jiujitsu #springfieldmo #grappling by @springfieldbjj
