Quick little insta-blog post…I miss styled shoots, y’all. I miss the days when we turned to styled shoots, magazines, real-life weddings, and the creativity of other artists for inspiration instead of AI. I feel like we just entered into this new world of AI, and I’m already over it. 🫠

This styled shoot from 2024, might be one of my favorites! There’s something about a styled shoot that feeds my soul. It’s a lot of extra work that I’m not getting paid for and actually costs me 💸 , but the artist in me gets to create what I want to create. It gives me the freedom to push boundaries, think outside the box, and create something that might not have existed otherwise. For this particular shoot, we hung chandeliers from trees over a table, and added trees to a shade less ceremony in leu of umbrellas, all trees that I cut down in the woods. Because sometimes, the best ideas come from getting your hands dirty and thinking a little differently.

Styled shoots are a chance for us as designers to be led by our own intuition, inspiration, experience, and talent. No algorithm. No generated images. Just creativity, collaboration, and a whole lot of heart. And one of my favorite parts? Getting to create alongside some of the most talented people in this industry.

I miss that kind of inspiration. I miss the magic of seeing something real (besides all the real weddings out there!), dreaming up what’s possible, and bringing it to life with an incredible team.

So please, send me more REAL photography. More magazines (that are almost non-existent). More actual work created by actual artists. More beautiful things made by human hands. Less AI-generated inspiration. 🙌🏻

And for the record, I still haven’t even made an account. 😂 I’m holding out for as long as I can. (I do use the free account to help clean up my words😬… you caught me there!😘)

“I didn’t stop smiling the whole day.”

And Natalie gave us so many reasons to smile, too. Wearing @suzanneneville, our beautiful Lineage bride married Kevin in the same church where her parents wed, with her cousin, Father Paul, officiating. The celebration continued with vibrant spring florals and a cake inspired by her gown’s appliqué.

Elizabeth helped her find her dream dress with her mom, sister, and grandmother by her side. She even got to meet Suzanne Neville herself and received a personal sketch she’ll treasure forever.

But what stayed with us most? Hearing that Natalie felt celebrated for exactly who she is. That’s everything we hope for our brides, from their first appointment to their wedding day and far beyond.
