a potato ranks every way you cook it πŸ₯” mashed: f tier. they hit him with a hammer (it's called a masher). baked: a tier, until the fork. fries: s tier. no notes. gary has one more for the list. 🐌 spudnote is on the app store now 🌱 spudnote.com/instagram #potato #tierlist #food #fries #animation by @spudnote
i'm a little bit nicotine πŸ† potatoes, tomatoes and eggplants are nightshades, the same plant family as tobacco. and they all make a tiny bit of nicotine. πŸ… plants make it as a natural bug poison. farmers used to spray it on crops. πŸ› but it's tiny. one cigarette's worth is about 10 kg of eggplant, or roughly your body weight in potatoes. πŸ₯” gary still blames it for the chips. it's the salt, gary. πŸ§‚ spudnote is on the app store now 🌱 spudnote.com/instagram #spudnote #potato #science #didyouknow #plants by @spudnote
He asked for a trim βœ‚οΈπŸŒΏ spud wanted just a little off the top. gary is a snail with scissors. every snip, it grew back bigger. πŸ₯” there's a bird living in it now. he's a regular. 🐦 gary went in to finish the job. nobody has seen gary since. πŸ‘€ spudnote is on the app store now 🌱 spudnote.com/instagram #spudnote #haircut #barber #potato #snail by @spudnote
bees have to scream at my flowers 🐝 potato flowers have no nectar. the pollen is locked inside a little yellow cone with one tiny hole at the tip. 🌼 a bumblebee grabs on and shakes about 340 times a second until the pollen pours out. it's called buzz pollination, and it sounds higher than a normal buzz. 🐝 honeybees just chew the cone open. some tomato farmers use little vibrating wands instead. πŸ… spud asked for a demonstration. he regrets it. πŸ₯” spudnote is on the app store now 🌱 spudnote.com/instagram #spudnote #bees #potato #science #didyouknow by @spudnote

he asked for $10 to make potato salad πŸ₯”πŸ’Έ in 2014 a man put up a kickstarter asking for $10 to make potato salad. almost 7,000 people gave him $55,492. 🀯 $1 got your name said out loud while he made it. $3 got you a bite. he made 300 pounds of it, threw a party called potatostock, and the money went to fighting hunger in ohio. ❀️ spud has questions. gary would like a bite. 🐌 spudnote is on the app store now 🌱 spudnote.com/instagram #spudnote #potato #potatosalad #kickstarter #internethistory by @spudnote
the first toy on tv was a crime πŸ₯”πŸ“Ί in 1952 mr. potato head became the first toy ever advertised on tv. the box had eyes, noses and mouths on pins, but no body. you brought your own potato. πŸ₯”πŸ“Œ over a million sold in the first year. then the potatoes started to rot, safety rules came in, and in 1964 the real potato got swapped for plastic. πŸͺ¦ gary would like a mustache. 🐌 spudnote is on the app store now 🌱 spudnote.com/instagram #spudnote #potato #mrpotatohead #toyhistory #didyouknow by @spudnote
he's hosing the snail πŸŒπŸ’¦ live from the balcony: the watering, called like a grand final. πŸ† water the soil, not the leaves. wet leaves catch diseases, wet soil feeds the roots. 🌱 spudnote is on the app store now 🌱 spudnote.com/instagram #spudnote #potato #gardening #gardeningtips #plants by @spudnote
my mom was a tomato πŸ…πŸ₯” 9 million years ago, a tomato and a wild plant from chile crossed, and the very first potato was born. 🌱 neither parent could grow a single potato. the tomato had the switch, the wild plant had the underground stems. together? potatoes. 🧬 now there are over 100 wild kinds. all thanks to a tomato. πŸ”οΈ spudnote is on the app store now 🌱 spudnote.com/instagram #spudnote #potato #tomato #didyouknow #science by @spudnote

why your brain reads you your to-do list at 2am πŸŒ™πŸ₯” it's not just you. unfinished stuff keeps popping back into your head. 🧠 in a 2011 study (masicampo & baumeister), making a specific plan for an unfinished goal stopped it from intruding on people's thoughts. so give each one a when. ⏰ in spudnote, every thought is a sprout, and a reminder is one tap: tonight, tomorrow or next week. 🌱 and when it's done, you pull it out. it screams. that part's just for fun. πŸ₯• spudnote is on the app store now 🌱 spudnote.com/instagram #spudnote #productivity #adhd #overthinking #psychology by @spudnote
