This turned out to be a beast using the #spudworks_rc x24 chassis. 165 mm wheelbase with a carrier bearing. Giant whale bone rear links.

Drop it low! Testing a sweet motor mount from @stock_landcruiser.

Uses #spudworks_rc reversible skid to allow the motor/transmission to shift to the right side. by @spudworks_rc

Updated #spudworks_rc x24 chassis based on some feedback and planned updates.

V2 Changes:

Please download V2 - x24 Final.3mf (this has all the files in it)

Change bolt spacing on skid to 8mm to work with other skids (from transmission makers)

Added more bolt holes for front lower links

Body mounts now use 6mm magnets

Add degree labels to skid plates (labels on flat spot that still faces to back of chassis)

Add sloped sliders and alternate rear body mount (works with Jimny, requires 12mm magnet)

Need a little extra weight up front? These links let you add brass boulder bars to your front lower links for improved forward bias. They use brass ball joints (I can’t recall whether they were Meus or Injora).

Once assembled, be sure to bevel the edges so the brass doesn’t drag on the rocks. I used a Dremel to bevel them so the plastic hangs slightly lower than the brass.

I also recommend using metal upper links to keep the triangulation nice and rigid.

Based on Hobbypark Boulder Bars, but others may work.

Set out to build a 155mm WB crawler as a Dead90. Big fan of the forward bias on the Deadbolt front. The #salty_micro Jimny was awesome, but I wanted the wheelbase to match. Asked Salty if I could tweak the STL and he said go for it.

Ended up stretching the cab and bed about 20mm. This allowed the addition of the extra cab. Also shortened the back of the bed by 4mm or so.
