I caught Karton off guard with this question:

“What has @barkue meant in your journey?”

You can prepare for business questions. You can prepare for success stories. But sometimes, one unexpected question takes you somewhere deeper.

Barkue is more than a name in his journey — she represents love, partnership, support, and the person beside him through the different chapters of his life.

His reaction said a lot before he even answered.

From Houston to Liberia, and now Atlanta.

I had the opportunity to sit down with someone whose journey I’ve been able to watch on a more personal level — my cousin, Karton Zawolo.

We talked about his transition from building businesses in America, to investing and creating opportunities in Liberia, and now continuing that journey in Atlanta.

From entrepreneurship and family to sacrifice, taking risks, and knowing when it’s time to evolve, this conversation gives you a closer look at the vision behind his journey.
