We are thrilled to announce our next show: Landscapes!

The fun continues with Landscapes, an online show featuring a roster of 29 incredible artists from across North America, selected by our jury of fellow artists and collectors. Held on the 2nd Thursday of each month for just over 24 hours, this show will bring our audiences favorite subject to life in an exciting and fast-paced format.

The show goes live on Thursday, October 8th at 8pm Eastern/ 5pm Pacific until midnight EST the 2nd day! By being on this list, you’ll get a first look at the art in this show by exclusive access to our password-protected 48-hour preview. You’re also automatically entered for a chance to win “Windswept Pines at Twighlite” by Maria Iva! @maria.iva.art

At Square Foot Show, we believe in art’s power to connect people across borders. After all, we’re a company owned and run by a partnership of Canadian and American friends. The trade situation between our two countries has complicated cross-border sales, and we won’t pretend otherwise. As of August 22, 2026, the U.S. regime implemented a 50% tariff on a wide range of Canadian goods, including original paintings. Canada has rightly announced its own countermeasures in response. This fight runs straight through our own table, so believe us when we say we did not choose this, and none of it is the fault of the artists we work hard to support.
We do not believe artists should absorb these tariffs, so we don’t add them to your checkout. In an effort to bring clarity to the purchasing experience, every painting shows the artist’s country of origin.
If you see a painting you can’t live without (trust us, we understand!) and your order crosses the Canada-U.S. border, the tariff is your responsibility as a collector. You’ll be billed one of two ways depending on the order. Either the carrier collects the additional fees at delivery, or the artist invoices you in advance, to be prepaid before the piece ships.
Many of you want to support artists wherever they work. So do we, and we’re glad to help. Others are buying closer to home right now, and we completely understand and support that choice. Both are welcome here.

Today is the day! The Landscape @squarefootshow goes live today at 6pm MST / 8pm EST at shop.squarefootshow.com

This is the 4th piece I have in the show and is an iconic view for anyone who lives in Southern Alberta and near the Rocky Mountains.

I’ve heard many stories recently about how meaningful this mountain range is to a lot of people. From women who come from a family of three sisters to couples who have gotten married in Canmore, there’s no denying this place is special.

I can’t even believe the show opening is tonight! No2 that will be available at 8pm : Stoic (on the way to Parthenon) during the Landscapes @squarefootshow. There’s something about giant agave plants, the way they take up space, equally majestic and dangerous if you get too close, the way they throw those gorgeous bloom stalks that are like trees themselves (I have a giant 16 yr old aloe in my home that used to bloom every season), the way they hold secrets of healing and sustenance. If I had to paint only one thing for the rest of time I would happily choose this floral beaut.
These particular plants can be convened with as you climb up to the acropolis of Athens. The agave Americana. Americana? Yes! Though they have been naturalized in the Mediterranean they have indeed been brought there, living proof of curating lands and humans insistance to colonize the natural world. But as something becomes naturalized there is another layer of meaning: Making home in new spaces, adapting to the world that you find yourself in. Becoming one with wherever you find yourself in the world. And that transcends any initial mischief or efforts to conform or tame the unknown. They are positively stoic. by @squarefootshow

Landscapes — our next Square Foot Show celebrating one of our favourite subjects: the places, views, and scenery that inspire us. With 30 artists and original 12x12” artworks, there’s going to be plenty to discover. Here are four things you can do to help you get the one you've had your eyes on in a show that has been called “the Black Friday of art.”

🎨 The show opens tonight at 8pm EST / 5pm PST and runs until midnight EST tomorrow.
💵 Every piece is $300 USD / $350 CAD with FREE SHIPPING!

1. Shop on your fastest internet and filter by artist.
Use whichever internet connection is fastest to shop, even if it's your phone! If you have your eyes on a particular piece, use the filtering options on the left side to view only the pieces by that artist.

2. Prioritize your selections.
We recommend creating a priority list and making purchases one at a time. This will ensure that you don't lose out on the piece you just have to have while you fill your cart.

3. (Optional) Sign up for an account at https://shop.app/
One way to speed up the checkout process would be to use the Shop App. You can sign up for an account on your desktop, iPhone, or Android device. Once logged in, input and save your shipping and payment information, and you'll be able to make your purchases in one click! This could make all the difference when it comes to getting that crucial piece.

Inspired by adventures, the water, and following the sun, I bring to you my paintings for the Landscape @squarefootshow!

Runaway Sunset, Pukaskwa - A sunset hidden from the camp ground at Pukaskwa National Park, but one of the most beautiful I've seen as we stood alone on the beach after running to catch it 🩷🧡💛

Evening on Sturgeon Bay - A most lovely bay off of Lake Superior. We fished for pike and watched the evening light illuminate the trees and cliffs around us 🎣🌅

Into the Sky - An evening walk after a busy day, where the open space of Niagara and the late summer breeze pushes your heart up and into the sky ☁️🩵
