Sometimes, doom-scrolling results in something tangible. Thanks to @m.adcock81 for the inspiration on this one and breaking up the monotony of my watch layouts lately.

Happy Friday, #watchfam! 🕒

That flecto in the photo? A reminder that even the toughest timepieces can shine. ✨

Hope your weekend is filled with adventure, relaxation, or maybe just admiring your favorite pieces. Let me know what’s on your wrist this Friday, and make it a great one!

A break in the usual watch content for another community I love dearly. Today was the #MarkSimon1stAnnual skate competition at #ledgewood. This place is my field of dreams. Thanks to @superstoneskateboarding and friends for putting on a gnarly event! Some really sick s**t went down today.

I’ve been wanting to shoot something fresh for a few days now, and recycling old snaps to hold me over. This evening I finally found a few moments to get something new for the feed. What I *really* enjoy shooting are mundane, everyday life - and when I but I can’t get out of the house to shoot, watches help me stay somewhat in-practice.

There are a handful of watches, when looking back on this journey, that I have some feelings of regret around letting them go. Some of them because of how wearable they were, and some because of how photogenic they were. In the case of this SSK023 - it’s both. 😩

Got busy this evening with little one-off-tasks and had no time to shoot a freshie, so here’s my first ever photograph of the Doxa when I got it on December 4th 2022. The longest I’ve ever kept a single watch in my rotation 😂. 4 glorious years later, this guy is all scratched up around the bezel, the paint has worn off of the Jenny fish on the crown, the clasp has desk-diving scratches, and the list goes on. I love this damn watch.

There is nothing I find more difficult than editing my own skin tones lol. In person, my opacity is about 25%, but the mass of hair sometimes gives the impression of melanin. In-camera I’m always red, orange, or yellow. Then I get all meta about it and can’t figure out what my natural tone is 😂😂😂. Also, if you’re interested in what 20/21 year old me looked like… swipe through. It’s f***ing hilarious.

You have no idea how much that seconds hand being misaligned bothers me right now 😂

Back on the bracelet for a few. Originally took it off the bracelet because the added weight seemed to trigger flare ups for my arthritis. Yea, getting older means lots of things, and limiting my watch selection is one of the least favorite I’ve encountered. But recently I’ve been feeling pretty good, so I figured I’d give it another go. Happy #FridayEve #Watchfam

Coffee, watches, watch books… am I still doing this right? 😂 I think I need to invest in a larger soft box as well… if anyone feels up to sharing their setups to give me some ideas, I’d be absolutely chuffed.
