Well after taking off at 6am from New York, having an emergency landing in CT followed by a 5 hour wait till another plane arrived i managed to miss the assembly for Homecoming court by 15 mins , but was able to walk Charlotte on the football field her senior year. Proud of this one to her commitment on and off the fields at the High school. This one is REALLY special. ❤️🍻
This Saturday’s gig at @mickey_finns is going to be much more than just another night behind the decks. It’s a celebration of 25 years of Mickey Finn’s being my local — and being such a huge part of the community.
Back in September 2001, I had my first beer in Illinois at the old Mickey Finn’s. Twenty-five years later, it’s hard to think about my life here without thinking about Mickey Finn’s. I’ve competed in a BBQ competition there, had my surprise 40th birthday party there, celebrated countless family occasions, and made memories with friends that will last a lifetime.
But what makes Mickey Finn’s truly special isn’t just the food, the beer, the music or the great atmosphere. It’s the people. It’s one of those places where you walk through the door and immediately feel like you belong. A place where strangers become friends, families gather, regulars are greeted by name, and there’s always a story happening at the bar.
Over 25 years, Mickey Finn’s has become more than a bar or restaurant — it’s a piece of the fabric of the community.And during COVID, when so many places were struggling, Mickey Finn’s stepped up, supported the community and went above and beyond for the people around them. That meant a lot.
So being asked to play this Labor Day weekend at a place that has been such a big part of my family’s life is incredibly rewarding.
And for this one, I’m changing things up.
This won’t be my traditional set. Instead, it’ll be my musical love letter to 25 years of Mickey Finn’s — the songs, the eras, the nights out, the celebrations, the chaos, the friendships and the memories that have made this place what it is.

Till the End.
In 1973, Sunderland shocked English football by winning the FA Cup. In 1973, the New York Knicks won their last NBA championship.
More than 50 years later, both fan bases finally witnessed the return they had been dreaming about: Sunderland back in Europe and the Knicks back on top of the basketball world.
The connection isn’t just the year. It’s the people.
For decades, Sunderland supporters filled the stands through relegations, promotions, and years of uncertainty, never letting go of the belief that their club belonged on the European stage. Across the Atlantic, Knicks fans packed Madison Square Garden through heartbreak, rebuilding seasons, and endless “maybe next year” moments.
Then came the leaders.
Jalen Brunson delivered the championship New York had waited generations to celebrate. Granit Xhaka captained Sunderland back to Europe, bringing experience, belief, and standards to a club determined to rise again.
Different sports. Different countries. The same spirit.

To kick off the World Cup in USA , Funk my Life are returning to the WCC Beach Club in NY for their annual “ Ibiza Nights” show . This year they have upped their game and will have the sensational @chanelle86 join them for a live P.A singing her classics. Imagine the sun is down , the lights are flashing and the sweet sounds of funky house music played across the Long Island shore . Iconic DJ booths are part of music history. They tell the story of how club culture and music have evolved over the years.

Legendary venues have come and gone — The Haçienda in Manchester, Studio 54, Paradise Garage, Sound Bar NYC, the Starck Club in Dallas, and The Warehouse in Chicago. Yet Café del Mar has endured for 46 years and counting.

To stand in that booth, following in the footsteps of so many incredible artists, was the pinnacle of my DJ journey so far. For me, DJing has always been a passion, never a job.

Dropping the remix of Roxanne by @patchsafarimusic just after sunset was a magical moment, and having @kenfanmusic flip the switch right when Sting sings “turn on the red light” was absolute perfection.

A huge thank you to @funkmylife_events for making this happen. You made an old geezer very happy, and even allowed me to close out the night with the final few songs.

Back in ’22 I had the opportunity to play in Ibiza, but work commitments meant I couldn’t pull it off. Ever since, this has been the one venue sitting at the very top of my bucket list… and now, in one week, it finally becomes reality.
People have also been asking lately why I’m called “Moonlight.” Most assume it’s because I barely sleep — which is true — but that’s not actually the story.
In March ’23, a disgraced squash pro launched lies, defamation, and scandalous accusations against my current employer. In the lawsuit, they even wrote that the company “hired a less qualified man who moonlights as a disc jockey,” which then made its way into the NY Post and Daily Mail.
So “Moonlight” became the answer. A little F.U. wrapped inside a DJ name.
And for the record: I coached Team USA while the pro did the players’ laundry. FACT.
Now Moonlight is heading to Café del Mar… the spiritual home of the Ibiza sunset. The venue that helped define Balearic chillout culture for generations. A place where legends have soundtracked the final moments of daylight since 1980, with the Mediterranean glowing gold, cocktails raised in the air, and the entire crowd locked into that magical transition from sunset to nightfall.
For 45 years, DJs have chased that perfect first record as the sun disappears into the sea. In one week, it’s my turn.
The adrenaline is going to hit different bringing in that opening track with the Ibiza sunset behind me.
Question is… what should the first track be?!

🔥 JUNE 11 — STAMFORD, CT The madness begins at Tigins Bar as the FML boys host the OPENING NIGHT of the World Cup. First whistle, first drinks, first scenes. Stamford won’t know what hit it.
🌴 JUNE 12 — Then it’s straight into luxury… FML returns to the iconic Westchester Country Club Beach Club for the legendary IBIZA NIGHTS on the Upper Promenade — one of the most recognized country club destinations in the United States. Sunset vibes, ocean air, champagne energy, and that signature FML soundtrack taking over the night.
🗽 JUNE 13 — NEW YORK CITY Next stop: MANHATTAN. Penn 6 beside Madison Square Garden becomes the heartbeat of the World Cup as Funk My Life hosts a massive watch party in the center of NYC. Thousands of fans. One city. One atmosphere. Absolute limbs when the goals go in.

🤠 JUNE 17 — DALLAS, TEXAS Straight after the World Cup action, the FML crew heads south to host the AFTER PARTY following ENGLAND v CROATIA at the legendary Candleroom. Expect celebrities, athletes, music, bottles, and scenes that will be talked about long after the tournament ends.
This isn’t just a tour. This is a statement.
Funk My Life is expanding globally at the perfect moment — attaching its name to the grandest sport in the world and turning every World Cup night into an experience.
