Important Update 🥶🌸 by @squires.flowers

We have another update!!! I mean look at these blooms! These pictures were taken early this morning, October 7, at the corner of Brough Hill Road and Possum Hollow Road. ☀️ The 3.5-acre field of cosmos wildflowers has now entered what we call the “super bloom” phase - intense blooming across the fields that should continue until the first hard frost, typically in late October. All are welcome! Park at the end of the long driveway or along Possum Hollow Road. Visitors are also welcome to walk the paved path that surrounds the fields. Please tread lightly and enjoy the flowers. 🌸 Cheers! by @squires.flowers

8/22/2026 UPDATE! Cosmos are starting to pop up everywhere! 🌸 by @squires.flowers

These pictures were taken the morning of 8/18/26. Blooms are getting more prevalent. The 3.5 acre field of comos wildflowers should start to look somewhat showy by this weekend! Heading into full bloom September 1st onward! 🌱🌸 by @squires.flowers

Dated 8/5/2026 🌸 THE FIRST BLOOM!

Each year we plant 50 pounds of cosmos seed. At approximately 82,000 seeds per pound, that works out to over 4,000,000 seeds planted. Out of all those seeds, this plant bloomed first! We are still a few weeks off before things start to get showy. They are enjoying the rain! 🌧️ Everything is lining up great this year! Do cosmos seeds reseed themselves? Of course (to a degree) but the only way to achieve a uniform mass planting like this is to start fresh each year. Things should start looking good September 1st onward! by @squires.flowers

Greetings from East Berlin, PA! 🌱 These photos were taken on the morning of 8/3. The cosmos are looking outstanding this year! They have never looked so nice at this stage of growth. Complete and uniform coverage across the entire 3.5 acre planting. The seedlings are about 12 to 14 inches tall. The recent rain will help accelerate growth. We should start seeing blooms in a couple of weeks. I’ll do my best to post weekly updates! Stay tuned! 🌸 by @squires.flowers
