After many meaningful years in business, I’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to close The Squire Shop.

This beloved store first opened its doors in 1963, and I was honored to purchase it in 2005 at just 24 years old. For the past 20 years, I’ve done my best to carry on its legacy, serving our community with pride, care, and a deep appreciation for what The Squire Shop has meant to so many.

Like many small businesses, we’ve faced ongoing challenges in a changing retail and economic landscape, and after a great deal of reflection, I’ve decided it’s time to close this chapter.

We’ve been honored to serve so many of you over the years, whether for tuxedo rentals for your weddings and proms, or outfitting you for other special occasions. I’m especially proud to share that we held the title for Jim’s Formalwear as their largest dealer nationwide for prom tuxedo rentals and the third largest overall dealer in the Southeast. These milestones are a testament to the trust you’ve placed in us.

To all of you who have supported us—thank you. You helped make The Squire Shop more than just a store. You made it a part of the community’s story.

We’ll be closing our doors on June 30, 2025, and I hope you’ll come by before then so we can say goodbye in person and celebrate what this place has meant to all of us. If you have any Gift Cards or Loyalty Points, please make sure to use them by June 30th. taken in The Squire Shop by @squireshop
