Take a moment to feel your neurons forming synapses. What will you allow them to connect to? The paths you take through the woods may someday become habitual roads. Do you want to take that road forever? Maybe the path you took in a hard time is not worth taking anymore.
Encourage the brain to branch out & not fear the triggers in the unknown. Sometimes the worst thing that could ever happen is staying so stuck in fear that it becomes your life. Move forward even if it scares you. Do not build a prison around yourself.

I’m starting to form thoughts abt my art practice & want to share them in a trendy & engaging format. It’s kinda cool that each time I share something, I’m confronting the vulnerability of being perceived/misinterpreted, which builds my ability to freely express myself without fear. I wonder if the same neural pathways are activated when I am actively creating art.

I am crunchy in a “liberate all oppressed beings & rematriate the land” sort of way, NOT in a republican sort of way😃 hope this helps!
🦴I’m an artist. Artists make beautiful things happen. We take something that brewed within our minds and we command ourselves to execute the vision in reality. Piece by piece. All by hand. Every intricacy, every stitch, every mistake which is remedied & improvised upon. I do not just assemble an outfit from my closet or from depop… I conjure a vision from the ground upward. From scraps, from trash, from things the world considers valueless until I work my magic upon them.

everything will rot, everything will decay and cease to exist, all the cute moments and little crafts that make your heart warm, But it’s not about those singular pieces enduring forever. It’s about them and the emotions behind them getting to exist as some miraculous feat of life. It’s about the sheer curiosity that is human nature. The love which we all share for beauty & vulnerability. That spirit carries on through millennia. The tiny cave boy carving little figurines felt something akin to what we feel, probably for similar reasons. We have heart. We are caretakers & creators. It’s that crucial element of our consciousness that gives us meaning in this planetary project. Finding things cute isn’t just some stupid girly emotion. It’s literally moving the course of the universe forward. It’s hanging on when there’s very little hope, nurturing the ideas that require deep investment to pay off for everyone, creating community. Those silly caring feelings are what gives life much of its meaning and purpose.

Every idea & tool is borrowed in the project of life. When we’re done with our part, the cycle continues.
Creating art with biodegradable objects is an exploration of ephemera. Embracing the eventuality of decay, honoring natural cycles, and leaving no trace.
Everything built from the landscape is destined to rejoin it.

Learn with me:) I’m a beginner designer, demystifying “advanced” costume techniques one step at a time. Starting with some leather pattern techniques popularized by Rick Owens.
It’s so fun having a sewing machine to experiment with. I usually hand-sew, which I believe helps the brain puzzle things together a bit better because every stitch is ultra-customized, but I’m discovering the convenience of speed! I do recommend people learn to sew first by hand so you can get acquainted with the close-up engineering aspect.
I wonder what cool costumes we will make with all these fun shapes we’re discovering!

The whimsy is strong with this one...
Creation is a luxury. The stars have to align for someone to become an artist. But if you have the flame in you, you must tend it like crazy.
Since I was small, I felt a very primal drive to create things, spaces, feelings and I seldom let anything get in my way. Slowly, I'm building an art practice all on my own.
I'm not sure why I love this so much. I wish I knew what kind of role it played in the greater good, but I know it brings me joy. I spent a lot of my life a bit constricted, so in adulthood I pursue my whims like a madman. I don't let anything stand in front of my freedom to express myself and engage with the beauty and strangeness which flows through me and is present all around me.
