POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Over the past few weeks I’ve had the incredible opportunity of working with @kidglass on something very special. It’s been a lot of fun putting so much attention and care into one piece and I couldn’t have asked for a cooler “kid” to throw down with then Josh. Not only was the final piece worth all the blood, sweat and tears, but the memories that come with it are some I will cherish forever. This piece, that we have decided to title “Aurora” is a representation of what I believe to be many different forms of meditation with 15 marbles, over 2500 dots, and 120+ horns. Josh’s tetrahedral form does an incredible job of highlighting marbles in such a unique way, and I was extremely excited to see how my pattern work would translate into the piece when multiplied so many times. I honestly could not have asked for a better result. From the very beginning, we took our time planning exactly what we wanted this piece to be, and I’m happy to say we far exceeded our own expectations every step of the way. No corners were cut and in many steps we pushed ourselves further than we had ever originally intended. The energy that went into this piece is only matched by the aura it gives off, which can be felt by anyone in the room. This “aura” is what inspired its name. This piece traveled across the country with me, to the Corning Museum of Glass in New York and I had the honor of sharing it with those at the museum and I can’t explain how exceptionally it was received by the community during my time there. I’m very grateful to have had the opportunity to work on a piece of this caliber in times like these and I know this is the kind of work that I want to be putting out moving forward. I’m so excited to see where this all goes. This piece is currently heading to the private collection of @oginc at their Las Cruces New Mexico location! I greatly appreciate your support in my work and I am so excited to see what comes next! Stay tuned for more of Aurora! -Sqwish 😊✌🏻

I wanted to share this marble I made recently for a project I am very happy to be apart of! This marble is 3” in diameter so it’s just a bit bigger then a baseball and has roughly 700-800 dots of lotus white and cobalt blue. I hope you’re all doing well and staying safe and I appreciate you all for your continued support! 😊✌🏻

I’ve been making a bunch of these little hobnail fidgets that are based around my mandala dot stacks recently :) A number of these have found their forever homes already, but you can PM me to see what is still available. I’ll be posting more videos of what’s left soon! Always down to make some customs or take orders too! Thanks so much for the support as always :) Much love 💙

✨💙✨GIVEAWAY ENDED ✨💙✨
Congrats to @oogie_the_collector for random selection. Much love to everyone.

As an artist, I feel it is my job to help create a reflection of the world that I want to live in. To improve the lives of the people around me through the means of my creations. It is my job to impact the lives of others in a way that is meaningful and significant, even if it is small. The world seems disconnected to me right now, it feels angry, scary, and sometimes overwhelming. And times like these are when I believe the world needs artists the most. I can’t fix things on my own and I can’t take the pain away from people, but I know that I can cast a stone across waters that will create many ripples. I wish to use my platform to spread positivity, kindness, and love for one another, and I wish to see unification and prosperity amongst everyone. I made this piece recently and was very proud of how it came out, it’s about the size of a baseball and filled with lots of crushed opals and pretty colors. It’s something that could help cover my bills if I sold it, but I believe it serves a better purpose than that. So I’d love to give it to one of you! If you would like the chance to give this piece a new home, leave a comment about something you are happy for, about someone you’re proud of, or even something that just makes you smile. Share whatever you would like, but I ask in return that you try to make someone else’s day special. I’m grateful for each and every one of you who supports me and I am so thankful to have the opportunity to share my art with the world. Thank you all so much for being here and for being apart of my little ripple, it means more to me then you could ever know.

More POV content 🥳🎉 This is some behind the scenes of a new technique i’ve been developing that i’ve been calling a “Split-tex” it’s a vortex made of two vortex’s helixing around each other. Really love how they have been turning out, it’s hard to show the optics and the depth of these on camera but they look incredible in person! Thank you so much for watching! 💙🙏🏻

🥳💀🥳💀”Life of the Party”💀🥳💀🥳

I recently had the great privilege of being a TA for a week long intensive Lampworking class with @sqwishyglass @corningmuseumstudio an experience I’ll never forget! Coming from a background of glass that’s focused around lampworking pipes, and the subculture that surrounds it, going to the world’s foremost prestigious institution of glass as an instructor was a surreal experience.

I found myself increasingly grateful as the week went on and it set in how meaningful it was for me to be there, I’m eternally grateful for my friend @sqwishyglass for inviting me to be his TA and introducing me to so many new friends and colleagues in Glass. We finished this piece up on his birthday! 🎉🎉🎉

I would highly encourage anyone who works with glass in any way to visit @corningmuseum it has only deepened and grown my love for this material, the energy in the galleries and surrounding all of the works is undeniable. It was overwhelming to be in a space with such an immense and exceptional collection of glass art. I cannot recommend to glass artists enough to go and experience the museum, it was so inspiring to see work of such great variety and caliber, incredibly moving.

I look forward to another visit soon! taken in Corning Museum of Glass by @sqwishyglass
