We’re back with another Show & Tell, yayyy Submissions are open ~ Last one was beautiful <3 This time, our theme is The Shape of Data: Signals as Material. It’s all about playing with numbers, making art, decoding patterns and reflecting on what data can tell us. We’re interested in what happens when data stops being something we just put in a spreadsheet and becomes something we can feel. Mere observations can become patterns. Sensors, personal archives, strange little datasets, how can we use information as a creative material? The Shape of Data: Signals as Material is a casual show & tell for artists, designers, coders, researchers and curious tinkerers who like playing with patterns, numbers and information. Open Call: Interested in presenting a project? DM us or email cya@srcnyc.fun. Bring a finished piece, a WIP, an experiment, or something you’re still figuring out, whether that’s data visualization, generative work, interactive pieces, physical data, personal archives, weird charts or anything that turns signals into something we can experience. No polished presentation needed. Or simply come hang out and look at cool work ✨ RSVP link in bio >>> Thursday, September 17th · 7–9 PM P.S. numbers have feelings 👀 by @src__nyc
Snippets from our first Show & Tell (which was so wholesome btw) 🫰🏼 The theme was ~ Soft Code: Handmade for the web ~ This is the year of whimsy. We wanted to celebrate an internet that feels handcrafted, personal and made with love. The web was supposed to be a space for self-expression, curiosity and connection and we wanted to bring some of that magic back. Presenters: Sami Smith @hello.sami Zen Fernandes @_zehfernandes Anzhelika Tabi Cass @tabi.sock Shiva Viswanathan @shivaviswan @hello.sami presenting “Clip Art Studio” A website where you can cut out magazines and PDFs to make collages to share with the community. @_zehfernandes presenting “The Folded World” A series of posters and collage generator. Zeh’s work ~ Anzhelika presenting “img2sample” A tool that translates images into audio samples using Google Lyria’s model. It runs in the browser and also as a native DAW plugin for music producers. @tabi.sock presenting “DnDJ” A web app that ties into Spotify and makes managing music for a DnD session much more intuitive through the use of tagging and inclusive/exclusive filtering. @shivaviswan presenting “Paintify 3D” Shiva developed a painterly software to add a textural aspect to his @daysofshiva work. It’s an experiment in combining effects of hand drawing and painting to the world of 3D and digital. Painterly art by @daysofshiva Thank you for coming 🫶🏽 YES by @src__nyc

Very excited to announce my first Creative Coding for Musicians workshop!!! Have you ever been code curious? Had an idea for an app that combines sound, visuals, and interactivity? Want to play with new media expression? Music and code are flip sides of my creative practice and I'm so glad to get a chance to share both with all of you. Slides 2-4 are examples of some explorations I've built using code. Capacity is very limited so PLEASE sign up in advance. This is an in-person only experience at @src__nyc in Brooklyn. No previous coding experience necessary. We'll be starting from scratch using P5 and Tone.js and building a very simple browser-based interactive instrument. Tue, Apr 14, 2026 7:00–9:30pm RSVP link in @musiciancoder bio! 🎨: @mattbrobowe by @src__nyc
❤️‍🔥 Member Spotlight @entroplay ❤️‍🔥 Armon’s work navigates the paradox of embodiment and dissociation through the augmenting self-imagery. He produces interactive installations, AR applications, real-time graphics, and experimental hardware to explore the relationship between identity, technology and entropy. And our in-house touchdesigner wizard 💅🏼 by @src__nyc
