Shri Ram College of Commerce is organising a Two-Day Conclave on “Pathways to Viksit Bharat” in its Centenary Year at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on October 15 and 16, 2026. The Conclave focuses on key dimensions of India’s economic and social transformation, including growth and employment, human capital, technological advance, inclusive and sustainable development, gender empowerment and the role of women in the economy, and India’s evolving position in the global economy. The event seeks to foster meaningful interaction between academia, policy, and practice and contribute to the broader discourse on India’s development priorities. Distinguished economists, scholars, policymakers, and practitioners will share their perspectives on emerging opportunities and challenges facing the Indian economy and India’s journey towards becoming a developed Nation. Panel discussions will provide a platform for engaging dialogue and diverse perspectives on critical contemporary issues. Through informed deliberations and exchange of ideas, a policy outcome to explore pathways towards an inclusive, resilient, and a developed India is envisaged.

𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐡𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦: 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 & 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬

From 28 September to 4 October 2026, the 𝐆𝐂𝐁𝐒–𝐒𝐑𝐂𝐂 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞 brought together students from Sri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi, and Gedu College of Business Studies (GCBS) for a meaningful week of academic learning, cultural exploration, and shared experiences.

The programme featured a Research Proposal Writing Workshop, providing students with an opportunity to exchange ideas, discuss research interests, and gain insights into developing and strengthening research proposals. The participants also visited the Centre for Bhutan and GNH Studies (CBS), where they were introduced to Bhutan’s unique development philosophy of Gross National Happiness (GNH), including its concept, measurement, and practice.

Beyond the classroom, the exchange participants explored Bhutan’s rich cultural heritage and natural landscapes, accompanied and guided by the GCBS team. The group visited Ugyen Guru Lhakhang at Pangbisa, Paro, where they experienced Bhutan’s spirituality and cultural heritage firsthand.

The participants also travelled to Dochula, taking in the breathtaking Himalayan landscapes and visiting the iconic 108 Druk Wangyel Choetens. These journeys provided opportunities to learn through direct experiences, appreciate Bhutanese traditions, and discover the country’s unique way of life.

The combination of academic sessions, the Research Proposal Writing Workshop, institutional visits, and journeys to Paro and Thimphu made the exchange a memorable platform for students from both institutions to share perspectives, learn from one another, and build lasting friendships.

Initiatives such as the GCBS–SRCC Academic Exchange Programme continue to foster academic collaboration, cultural understanding, friendship, and meaningful connections between Bhutan and India.🇧🇹🤝🏻🇮🇳

Inviting Debaters across India for the 3rd Edition of the Shri Arun Jaitley Memorial Debate (SAJMD) 2026!!

In memory of Padma Vibhushan Late Shri Arun Jaitley (1952-2019), former Union Minister of Finance and Minister of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, the most eminent alumnus of SRCC and one of India’s most respected lawmakers, Shri Ram College of Commerce commenced the “Shri Arun Jaitley Memorial Debate” in 2023.

The 3rd Edition of the Shri Arun Jaitley Memorial Debate (SAJMD) is being organised by Shri Ram College of Commerce with Debating Society, SRCC and Hindi Sahitya Sabha, SRCC in September 2026. The 3rd Edition of SAJMD assumes a novel significance as it is an integral event of the Centenary Celebrations of Shri Ram College of Commerce. The total prize pool of the SAJMD is Rs. 2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakhs and Fifty Thousand)

Applications are invited from interested teams across India to participate in the 3rd Edition of SAJMD. The details of the SAJMD, including registration, format and timelines amongst other details, are given on the announcement section of the College website. Registering Teams must read the same prior to registration.

It is a matter of great pride that Shri Ram College of Commerce and IPE Global have jointly established the Centre for Social Impact at the SRCC Campus. This is a landmark initiative in the Centenary Year of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC).

The Centre for Social Impact aims to be a development platform for research, experiential learning, innovation and leadership, dedicated to nurturing young changemakers to contribute and carry the torch towards achieving UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to make the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 a reality. The Centre brings together academic excellence, development expertise and energy to nurture future leader and inspire them to become global citizens with an outlook for developed India.

Speaking on the establishment, Prof. Simrit Kaur, Principal, SRCC said, "I am grateful to IPE Global and everyone who has contributed to making this shared vision a reality. I look forward to seeing our students transform their ideas into meaningful social impact and contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

On Teacher's Day 2026, Shri Ram College of Commerce celebrated its Centenary Commemoration Day. Shri Narendra Modi, Hon'ble Prime Minister of India graced the event as the Distinguished Chief Guest and participated in the Centenary Celebration of Shri Ram College of Commerce in the august presence of Shri Pralhad Joshi, Hon'ble Education Minister, Government of India as the Esteemed Guest of Honor, Prof. Yogesh Singh, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi, Shri Rajat Sharma Distinguished SRCC Alumnus, Shri Ajay S. Shriram, Chairman, SRCC Governing Body, and Prof. Simrit Kaur, Principal SRCC.

The Hon'ble PM released the Commemorative Coin issued by the Government of India to mark the Centenary Year of Shri Ram College of Commerce. The Hon'ble PM was also presented with two volumes of anthologies of Hindi and English poems from Yamuna, the Official Magazine of SRCC.

Addressing the audience, the Hon'ble PM complimented SRCC on completing 100 years and said that saying you are in SRCC is a flex in itself. Calling the Alumni of the College 'OG's, the PM applauded their achievements in diverse fields and role in elevating SRCC to global heights.

The SRCC Centenary Commemoration Day was attended by senior functionaries of the Delhi University, members of SRCC Governing Body and eminent alumni alongwith the students and current and former teaching and non-teaching staff members of the College.
