As I watch my friends and teammates head out to Norway this week, I have some serious fomo! I’m so excited for them to start this new quad with positive change, new coaches and new goals! Due to my surgery and recovery process, I will not be competing this year but looking forward to getting back to full strength and speed to take on the ice in early 2027. This has been an interesting off season of patience, progress and set backs. Exited to cheer on USA and the young squad back at home this year! by @sroddy13
Just some silly vids through the years to go with the trend 🤷‍♀️ by @sroddy13

This first clip is exactly a year ago, when I felt a pop in my hip and I was verrrrry annoyed about it. Fast forward to now and I couldn’t be more proud of my body for all its gotten me through and how much progress I’ve made since April. Idk about yall but I’ve been getting some serious weight loss ad bombardment (boo insta). I am for sure the heaviest and most uncomfortable I’ve been in my body probably ever… and I’m proud of it. We ask our bodies for so much- as women, athletes, moms, career women. Sometimes injury or setbacks come from over load- overloaded schedules, weights on the bar, relationships to juggle…Remember that things change and you have ability to build the life you want regardless of the season I’ve had a high performance coach scoff at my weight, a male (wtf) teammate tell me if I lost some fat I’d be faster, and honestly have never been the girl with the 6 pack because that’s not my make up. That doesn’t take away from how strong, fast, determined and willing to try new things my body is capable of. Be kind to yourself ladies- eat well, go for a walk, have an ice cream. …also adopt a dog- they are the best #athlete #hipsurgery #homegym by @sroddy13
Woeking on my summoh weading. No fums so my mom is helping. Thank you @nulopetfood for the kind words, yummy treats and apparently teaching old dogs new tricks!? by @sroddy13
PSA: Smudge would like to share some advice! As we wrap up May, Smudge wants to remind you all how important mental health is. As a dog mom, I can say that having this whacky fun pup makes each day more worth it! Let’s be honest, everyday is Smudge day in our house- but make sure you take the time, especially as the weather gets nicer to treat your pets with a little extra to thank them for all they do for our well being. 🫶🫶#teamnulo by @sroddy13
Dang. Loads of thumbs up! Feeling incredibly lucky and grateful to have been able to work with @thesteadmanclinic and the @howardheadsportsmedicine to fix this dang hip! This past season obviously wasn’t great- but shoot it’s been validating to have such intelligent and proactive surgeons and medical teams here to put me back together. Also massive shoutout to our team medical staff that did everything in their power to get me to start block each week, even when I would have rather been pushed off on race day 😂 it’s a little wild to feel like this is also a part of sport! What was a 2hr surgery turned into 5 and I somehow already feel better. (Don’t do drugs, kids) Thank you to Dr. Philippon and his team for an incredibly professional and successful experience. Also big thanks to the USOPC in their support and guidance through the logistics of something like this. Biggest bonus was seeing our best buds and coolest, strongest, sassiest little nugget in all of Denver. 🫶 Lastly, of course to @gingerfever3000- you’re the only person patient enough on this planet to help me through it all! Here’s to the next few months of basement gym rehab 👊 by @sroddy13
25-26 Season 🤷‍♀️ Wouldn’t trade these experiences for anything by @sroddy13
Smudge: Thooooo - you’re telling me I can’t cheer for da Olympics and Pawalympics anymore?! I wuve my #teamnulo cheewing gear! Sara: well you can still cheer for USA athletes and other amazing folks from around the world! Smudge: boewing. I’d rather eat Nulo treats 🤷‍♀️ Sara: Can you at least say congratulations to our medalists and retiring athletes? Smudge: nope, too focused on tweats. 🙄 hard to please….unless we have her favorites! As you can see she’s not afraid to hide her emotions like her mama… we loved supporting our team these past few weeks! @nulopetfood by @sroddy13
