Kial is 41! We went to Seattle, partied (maybe too hard?), saw Magic Sword, made new friends, and most importantly, hit redo on what should be a special milestone birthday. Kial is the softest, kindest soul I've ever met. He is incapable of shouting and cries at photos of free kittens on facebook because they don't have names. His presence in the world is a gift. Knowing and loving him is a treasure. On our third date, I asked if I made him in a computer Weird Science style. He reminded me that aside from that movie being the same age as him, perfect people don't exist; it was always about just believing you're worthy of love as you are. Also, the TV series was better. Kial taught me to believe in myself and the idea I'm worth more than the bare minimum. I like to think I taught him that he's worth more than what he can create, and the importance of celebrating his own existence. But the greatest gift he's given me is recognizing and loving myself more through his eyes. I only hope I can do the same for him. 40 more years with Kial wouldn't nearly be long enough, but it's a good start. Happy birthday to this adorable goth boy. 🧡 by @srosefacekillah
