Sarasota has a new monthly market 🌿

First Fridays: market-at-the-trail kicked off this morning under the oaks at Arlington Park.

Browse fresh produce, plants, and handmade goods from local makers, grab a coffee or a dirty soda, hit the food trucks, and catch live acoustic music along the trail. It’s free, and leashed pups are welcome.

📍 Arlington Park, 2650 Waldemere St, Sarasota 🗓️ First Friday of the month, 9am to 1pm. Next up: Nov 6 and Dec 4 🎟️ Free admission

Maine-style lobster rolls by way of the Jersey Shore, and this is their only Florida location. Get the Classic chilled with a bead of mayo, or the Connecticut warm and dunked in butter. Real claw meat, not filler.

The city is starting a monthly market on the Arlington Park trail, and the first one is Friday, October 2.

First Fridays: market-at-the-trail runs 9am to 1pm on the first Friday of the month, along the trail at 2650 Waldemere Street. Admission is free and leashed pets are welcome.

Expect handmade goods, crafts, plants and gifts from local makers, with a rotating lineup of food and beverage trucks alongside.

Three fall dates are set: October 2, November 6 and December 4. Parks and Recreation told us that if those first three go well, they plan to keep the series going into the winter.

Makers, applications are open now and the city says spaces are limited. Comment below and we’ll send you the application link.

If you haven’t checked out Happy Clams and Hams yet, this new Bee Ridge spot is worth adding to your Sarasota food list. Opened in June by the team behind Siesta Key’s Big Water Fish Market @bigwaterfishmarket , it brings an inland seafood market, restaurant, and deli all under one roof.

Expect fresh local and imported seafood, daily oysters, a seafood counter and raw bar, plus NYC-style deli favorites, Italian subs, soups, salads, and specialty sandwiches. 🥪🐟

The cozy 1,200-square-foot space seats 26, with takeout and call-in orders making it easy to grab your favorites on the go. And yes — it’s BYOB, so you can bring your own beer, wine, or liquor. 🍻

They’re also planning reservation-only seafood steam pots, Friday fish fry nights, and catering for local gatherings.
