Lisboa, you minx, I fear I simply can’t quit you. Solo trip number 2 had me falling in love with Portugal and the ~nomad~ lifestyle that brought me there.

With Lisbon as home base, the trips to smaller, seaside towns were some of my favorite memories.
🤌🏼 Óbidos (the quaint, medieval village)
🤌🏼 Sintra (Portuguese royalty’s summer vacay spot)
🤌🏼 Nazaré (home to surfers’ biggest waves to conquer)
🤌🏼 Ericeira (another beautiful surfer town)

Not to mention the small moments and little things that make it so magical…
The cafe hangs. The makeshift offices in beautiful places. The long, STEEP cobblestone walks everywhere. The inevitable short lived but meaningful conversations with strangers from all over the world. The solo dinner dates. The restaurant research. The at-times-cheesy but enriching tours.

The saying goes that you’re never truly alone while solo traveling. And I can confirm this to be undeniably true. Perhaps this is your sign to book the trip… with loved ones or you, yourself (and you?). TUDO BEM! taken in Lisbon, Portugal by @ss_blankenship

the month (April) I turned 30, flirty & thriving (in Fredericksburg) 🤠🪩

no one asked but here are 3 things i wish i knew in my 20s:
1. the big breakthroughs, answers to major questions & generally any decision RARELY arrive when you try to “think your way” out of it. that’s usually what lands you in analysis paralysis (shoutout ADHD homies - this really applies here)
2. those answers usually make their way to you when you’re still. ugh.
3. don’t take anyone’s advice - including this one :)

you may not be able to swim here anymore bc well… tourists like myself… but the beauty is just as stunning. only reachable by boat, you can join a tour on one of their many trips or hire private long tail boat.
