This journey began long before I arrived in Atlanta, GA. It started with my upbringing in Los Angeles, CA. I’d like to thank my village back home (both living and deceased) for laying the foundation in my life. I know I am making my younger self proud, and I’ll always rep where I’m from.

I came to Clark to get away from familiar places, people, and habits. In 2022, I got on a plane with my mother without even knowing where I was going to stay. All I knew was that I was heading to Clark Atlanta University, one way or another. Despite every challenge, I knew that determination and hu$tle would pay off somehow.

I could go on about the accolades, but most importantly, I’d like to thank GOD. Without Him, I wouldn’t be able to grieve and still achieve. Without Him, I wouldn’t be able to survive every heartbreak and loss. Without Him, I wouldn’t have been able to shake off this depression. Without Him, I would’ve lost myself when I had every reason to crash. Without Him, this moment wouldn’t be possible .

In my senior year, I lost my grandfather, and at that point, I felt like I had lost everything. There were times when I didn’t feel like talking to people or didn’t even want to be seen. Despite this being one of the most difficult times in my life, it was also the year that I developed a passion for music and DJing. I realized how much it became my therapy.

I’d like to give a special shoutout to my friends who made me get out my room; Wicked Wings/Clark Atlanta dining family for giving me my first job at CAU; the CAU Registrar’s office (Auntie Tasha and Auntie Banks) for being my safe space; the Record Label and Distribution Class (CBUS 494) and Jerry Clark for being a stepping stone into my career. Y’all with never be forgotten.
