ROOM SERVICE — a short film experiment. Hotels fascinate me. They’re liminal spaces, little portals for reinvention, where you can rehearse being someone else for a night. I’ve been thinking a lot about how play and performance might help us process the messier parts of real life. Maybe if we rehearsed the failed situationships, they wouldn’t sting so much. This is the kind of work you can expect from @culturemachine: small experiments in storytelling, character and cinematic language.
