For Seminole State College head coach Austin Bogle, athleticism is going to stand out with this year’s group — but he believes college coaches will leave just as impressed with how the Trojans play together.

“We have a very athletic team. People are gonna notice how well we defend.”

That athleticism gives Seminole State the ability to defend at a high level and finish around the rim, creating the type of style Bogle believes people will enjoy watching.

“We have a lot of athletes. We can finish around the rim really well.”

But the foundation remains the same: unselfish basketball, ball movement and making the right play. Bogle doesn’t want his players forcing offense when a better opportunity is available somewhere else.

“They’re gonna really appreciate the style of play when we’re moving the ball around and we’re passing it and we’re defending and we’re just making the right play.”

For Bogle, that commitment to playing the right way is what he believes college coaches will respect most.

“That’s what we really pride ourselves on, not trying to force shots. Just move the ball, make the right play.” by @sscmbb

For Seminole State head coach Austin Bogle, the identity he wants from this year’s Trojans starts with playing for the guy next to you.

“We want to be a really unselfish team.”

After averaging 19 assists per game last season, Bogle wants that same willingness to move the ball, find the open man and sacrifice individual opportunities for what gives the team the best chance to win.

“We just want to be unselfish, willing to sacrifice for the guy next to us.”

Whether it’s diving on a loose ball, pitching the ball ahead or making the extra pass, everything comes back to putting the team first. And with a group that Bogle says genuinely gets along both on and off the court, that mentality is already taking shape.

“Anything we can do to win, just, you know, make it about the team.” by @sscmbb

6’8” forward Marco Smith of Seminole State put together a strong showing at the P32 JUCO Showcase, averaging 10.0 points per game while showcasing his versatility, physicality, and ability to impact the game around the basket.

After averaging 12.3 points and 8.1 rebounds per game last season, Smith continues to establish himself as one of the top returning forwards in JUCO basketball. His size, rebounding, and ability to finish through contact make him a difference-maker on both ends of the floor.

College coaches can track Marco Smith on the Revocruit software. by @sscmbb
