Throughout all of these hospitalizations, diagnosis, treatment plans…I found time to make this. I did everything including vocals. I hope you enjoy it, it’s one of my favorite @greenday songs!

A lot of people aren't fans of his, but...I'm sharing this anyway. This is my cover of "Zombie" by @yungblud ! I know he's a polarizing figure right now, but I've been a fan for a while, and as a fan of almost a million genres, I have no shame in that!

This is probably going to get the same hate and insults my other music gets, and that's life.

Note that the vocals ARE absolutely pitch corrected, poorly sometimes. I will not hide this. I only did two takes of vocals because I know I'm not a good singer. I might take a lot more time and re-record this, so let's call this a demo version.

If I took a lot of time to record, I know I can hit the notes without assistance, but I'm not going for anything but giving the instruments and production all I have to give!

*YES...I did SOME pitch correction, why? I wanted to. Also, yes, I know I sing nasally, my vocal tone is due to #osteogénesisimperfecta

I've always been told I sing like #billiejoearmstrong, and that may be true, but it's unintentional! I just learned to sing through them, so I guess you are what you...love?

The entire song was recorded, performed, mixed, mastered, programmed, and anything else by me, Sean Smith.

The guitar solo was recorded using a Gibson Les Paul JR, run through ‪an amp sim (thank you @mixwave !) I supplemented with the plugin #ODINIII by ‪‪‪!) with @solemntonesofficial ‬to beef it up with a third guitar layer, too.

Bass also recorded live and beefed up with ‪@submissionaudio ‪@nik.nocturnal ‬plug-in!

I hand-mapped the drums and used a blend of plugins from @stevenslate @wavesaudio @joeysturgistones @slatedigital @toontrack !

So the format of the video is nearly the same, because, well, I'm not a video editor. What I AM is a musician, so here's some new music!

Like I said in the last post, my voice is not for everyone! Having brittle bones gives your voice a certain sound, more shrill than most; it's a common trait in ALL with OI.

I chose to do the song "The Grouch" because I listened to this one on repeat when I was a pre-teen. As I got older, I related to the lyrics more in the sense that I actually understood them. The music is raw, the vocals just punch through, and the track is overall just incredible.

Enjoy this! I did it all, performed, programmed, mixed, and mastered. Combining live guitar/bass, some MIDI instruments, hard work and a touch of vocal Melodyne...this is my product. I don't want to hear that some of this is "cheating"; I do what I do, and I love it. That's what really matters.

Listen here before it hits all streaming services!

Even though I had posted this instrumental I made, I originally had no vocals over it. I am not the greatest singer, and I know that. I've said it before, but my disability causes my voice to have a higher tone to it and other qualities that are very recognizable for people with #osteogenesisimperfecta . That being said, I love singing and I used to do it all the time. So, I did it, and I'm okay with it.

This is my full cover, with vocals, of the @linkinpark song 'In Pieces' from their 3rd album, #minutestomidnight . I loved this album when it came out, I was a teenager, but I remember buying the Best Buy deluxe edition on day one. I lost it...But I played the fuck out of it! I used to be a big member of the LP online community as well, I was HybridMeteora798 on all forums including @lplive

Linkin Park has always been a comfort band for me. I was only 11 when #hybridtheory came out, but I loved them right away. They are the soundtrack to so many bad and good times in my life. I learned to be a musician and producer through their sound, their sampling, all of it. I owe a lot of who I am to this band.

I was lucky enough in 2008 to meet @m_shinoda in Detroit. He was so kind, and though it was brief, it was a dream come true. I hope he sees this!

Today I am 36. I've been a Green Day fan since I was only 6 years old. Nothing makes me happier than making music, and no music makes me happier than Green Day. With that being said, it was a no-brainer for me to have a go at one of my all-time favorite Green Day tracks.

My voice is...different. I understand that it is not for everyone, that's totally fine! My brittle bone disorder gives my voice a certain tonality, a higher and maybe more shrill timbre, but singing is something I've done since I was a kid.

I won a few soundalike contests years ago when I sang Green Day tracks. Listening to @billiejoearmstrong is what taught me HOW to sing, so my style just came from listening to him. His songwriting is also a huge reason I got through depression, s**ide times, and more. I owe so much to him, @mikedirnt & @trecool !

Enjoy my cover of the song "She"! I performed, programmed, mixed, mastered, all of it...all by myself. Music is my saving grace, and I put a lot of hard work into this. (Yeah - there's a bit of pitch correction, who cares, I don't!)

As I write the second song from my new original musical, I find myself reminded of one of the biggest reasons I love theatre.

(NOTE: The second two pictures are around 10 years ago...and I weighed about 30 pounds more than I do now!)

Seeing #Wicked changed my life. I was lucky enough to see the absolutely perfect @cteendryer on the tour and not only be inspired beyond belief, but create a friendship! In fact, everyone I have met through Wicked has been nothing short of incredible, just like the musical itself.

Another post will come later, but for now, as I dive into writing my first musical, I leave you with a little love and gratitude.

Wow. That was an amazing day! I had a blast at #MotorCityComicCon on Saturday! I don't get out often - due to health issues and financial problems, I honestly don't remember the last time I had this much fun. There was some incredible people there, awesome cosplay, memories made and even a nice taco was enjoyed!

@switwer1 - nice, finally meeting face to face. Next time, let's grab some lunch. My treat.

I recently found a CD-R of songs I made around 18/19 years ago when I was a high schooler. While most of them sucked, there was one I really liked and decided to revisit.

Much like back then, I program, perform, mix, and master all of my own music. The original demo was made when I had first begun producing and composing, so I wanted to see how well I could make it now, being so far into my musical journey.

So enjoy! The original demo was my first video on my YouTube channel, so go check that out if you want. I had played my first ever guitar solo on it...I have cut the solo from the new version.

The cover art was made with #canva (I had no time for graphic design and wanted to publish this video).
