It’s been a long-time in the works. LAUNCH TIME. 🔥🚀 That’s it, that’s my story. 🙈 The lighthouse was originally my grandma’s idea and my dad saw it as a challenge. In true fashion, he rose to meet it. The voice you hear in the back of the videos? That’s my mom. There’s a loneliness in extreme injury that isn’t talked about enough. Everyone asks “what happened” without considering the emotional turmoil it causes to relive the story. Three surgeries by 22. Learning to walk three times. Rebuilding every muscle in my left leg while trying to build a business, couch-hopping, far from everyone I love. This sh*t has been the hardest thing I’ve ever dealt with in my life. Lying awake at night wondering if this new pain means I’m broken again. Wondering if I’ll ever feel like an athlete again. Wondering why the surgeon couldn’t just have told me that he drilled into my leg in the wrong spot. I’ve kept most of this to myself. Posting the full story is terrifying. But I know I’m not the only one and that is exactly why… I made my second short film about this side of injury, with a man who died for 23 minutes and a 3x vice world kiteboarding champion.
