A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who contributed to my birthday fund.raiser this year. 🥹 It truly made my birthday so so magical to see a community come together to support my people in Ghazza. 🫶🏽🎂🌸🇵🇸 34 wonderful people donated to my fund.raiser. 🙌🏾🍉 We raised 1157 (rounded up) surpassing my original 1000 goal. 🥺💕🐰 576 will be distributed among our dear friends grass roots projects that support their community with food, fresh drinking water, school tents so many children can continue their education, art therapy workshops for the children, elderly care, hygiene parcels, new clothing for the children, medical care, etc. These selfless individuals provide for their community on the ground, while going through their own difficult time. 🥹 You can learn more about our friends wonderful work at: @gazanledcsf We are always looking for more support in any capacity: amplifying p0sts, fund.raising, don@ting, etc 2 families received 288 each: @diana_moneer and her family. Diana and her parents have various medical conditions that need lots of fund.s to cover, not to mention the basics: food, rent, etc. 🐰🫶🏽 @osamamousa196 has such a kind heart. He doesn’t ask for much. His only concern is making sure his family is taken care of. Osama has not seen his family in almost 3 years since he was away participating in a professional basketball competition when the nightmare began and he could not get back into Ghazza. 💔 He truly misses his family so so much. 🥺 Aside from the basics: food, rent, they also need fund.s for medical care and save up to purchase a solar power to receive (another basic essential) electricity. 🫶🏽🐰 If you have the capacity, please support these 2 beautiful families, if you can. 🙌🏾 Thank you so so much to everyone who contributed and made my birthday fund.raiser, this year, a success. 💗It truly means so much. 🥰 And an FYI 😜 I did do something for myself for my birthday. I spoke to loved ones on the phone, I went to the beach, I got an iced mocha coffee and I went to a Korean spa. I wanted to give a huge shout out to @californiacoffee.pgh for letting me set up a pop up art/jewelry sale for Gaza!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ they are ALL amazing and one of the cutest coffee shops in Pittsburgh, highly recommend going there. In total, $94 was collected toward helping the Mousa family @_a_family_in_gaza 🤩🥳🇵🇸 I will be posting receipts for the transaction made to @osamamousa196 soon. 🇵🇸🕊️🇵🇸 THIS UPCOMING SUNDAY from 11-2PM 🇵🇸🕊️🇵🇸 I am setting up an art and jewelry sale to raise money for the Mousa family in the Gaza Strip at the California Coffee Bar!!! I will post receipts of the transactions to their family after the sale. Background: Osama Mousa is a member of the Palestinian national basketball team and in October of 2023 he was on tour to participate in the Arab Championship in Qatar. Due to the closing of the Rafah border, he was unable to return to his family in Gaza. Staying connected with his family is extremely challenging as his family seldom has access to internet. They are trying to raise funds to not only afford basic living expenses, but also to purchase a solar panel one day. A solar panel will help the Mousa family and others around them regain access to the outside world, and reduce the hardship of daily survival. Their family’s page is @_a_family_in_gaza and their last post was in January. When their family’s home was destroyed by bombardment, Tasneem Mousa, one of Osama’s sisters, sustained a skull fracture. She takes medication to relieve the symptoms she experiences such as tremors, headaches, and dizziness. However, she has not received a cranioplasty due to not being able to evacuate to another country capable of providing this operation. by @sssalamandaa

In October of 2023 when their home was bombed, Osama’s sister, Tasneem, fractured her skull. She now requires a cranioplasty (a skull bone transplant) but cannot have this procedure done in Gaza. She needs to be evacuated to Egypt. While waiting for a cranioplasty, she suffers from dizziness, headaches, and tremors. Medicine is difficult to obtain in Gaza, so it is very expensive when it is available. The medicine she needs to relieve some of the pain can cost between $200-$600 shekels.
