I’m only $200 from my goal to raise $1,00 for tomorrow’s SERVE fundraiser for the Ali Forney Center to help feed young LGBTQ+ youth displaced from their homes simply for being who they are. $2.50 = 1 meal. $10.00 = 4 meals. $50.00 = 20 meals. $200 = 80 meals. Provincetown is where my life changed when I met @jackygage here 22 years ago. We were then incredibly lucky thanks to dear friends to spend many weeks during the pandemic here, finding comfort and joy during difficult times. Monday night was beyond joyous helping to present the Ali Forney Center’s celebration of my dear friend and hero @davidmixner. A major highlight of the night was former U.S. Rep Sean Patrick Maloney presenting David with one of the actual pens with which President Biden signed The Respect For Marriage act this past December. It was a glorious surprise to David and a tribute to David’s extraordinary role in making sure we all have the freedom to love, and to have our government respect our love.
