An embrace of soft protection, an armour soothing in its softness. When the body has been violated, one wants to make it impenetrable. I crafted a shell of memories at points of my travels. The coat was cut and sewn across continents. The beads, found and given. I am still writing the story on this piece.

A cocoon of cinnamon wool studded with beads collected while wandering the world. I wanted to sculpt fluidity in its silhouette and somehow it became a coat carrying memories that I can finally put to rest.

Just an early look at something I’ve been slowly working on from fabric to finish, leaning into every step of the process and creating something that I was happy to make.
