MEET THE TRAINER @stacey_079

Kia ora I'm Stacey, one of the trainers here at WBG.
I have been in the fight community for almost 10 years. I started in Muay Thai and Kickboxing, where I competed at an amateur level for 5 years. Throughout my kickboxing career I was able to fight all across the country and overseas against many of New Zealand's top fighters. Fighting gave me so much. It taught me about the value of hardwork and the importance of self belief.
After a couple of years, I started coaching - and this ignited a passion for teaching others about martial arts. While I'm proud of my experiences in the ring, I found an even greater passion in coaching and helping others discover what fighting can do for them.
Around 4 years ago, I joined WBG to learn about and compete as an amateur boxer. Soon after, I joined the coaching team. A highlight of my time at WBG has definitely been coaching several of the Clash of the Codes bootcamps.
I recently undertook a major career overhaul and completed a Personal Training qualification, in order to work in the coaching space full time and broaden my skills as coach and trainer. I now teach Kickboxing, Boxing, Boxfit, HIIT classes and offer one-on-one Personal Training sessions. My passion is to work with people of all experience levels, whether you're a complete beginner or want to make fighting your career. by @stacey_079
