Grateful to have had something hard to train for.
Grateful for quality time with my little brother.

I almost didn’t share this because it feels a little vulnerable, but I’ve been sitting with these feelings all week. 🤍

I thought I’d be so excited for this new chapter. And I am. I’m so proud of her, grateful that I am working, and honestly enjoying some of the freedom that comes with her being in school.

But I didn’t expect the quiet to feel so loud.

I know some moms are counting down the minutes until they get that time back and I completely understand that. But for me, this first week has been a reminder of a season I’m not quite ready to let go of.

Maybe motherhood is just constantly learning how to hold gratitude for what’s here while grieving what’s gone.

It’s tough as a mama to watch your child be nervous or scared. To want to run up and save them from feeling embarrassed or uncomfortable.🥹Being a mom has stretched me in so many ways. I am so thankful for every moment big or small.
We are so proud of our Reesey girl. She has loved going to school this year. I can’t wait to watch her continue to learn and grow and more importantly try new things and be really super brave. 🫶🏼
