Beginning tomorrow, Sept. 6, I will be sharing stories in remembrance of the 25 years since 9/11. It was an honor to speak with people in New York City about their memories, their resilience and the work that continues today to treat the sick and educate the millions of Americans who are too young to remember that day.

It’s hard to believe 25 years has passed. Seasons change. Life moves forward. But so many still grieve, so many still suffer. May we never forget. by @stacidasilva

Some people have been asking me where I’ve been this summer because I haven’t been reporting from Polk Co. in the evening shows very much. Well. I’ve been filling in on the anchor desk most mornings (in addition to my normal weekend shows)!

These photos capture a typical day while working this shift for now.

>> 1am alarm
>> how do I do it? Melatonin and a sleep mask. Works like magic
>> coffee
>> a 35-minute drive (with no traffic on I-4!)
>> my view for the 4.5 hour show
>> famously my go-to show snack is a cheese stick
>> often also filling in on the midday show in the Stream Center with Beth or Stacie
>> take a walk outside after I get home, do some weights and then get ready to do it all over again

Morning show people forever have all my respect but it’s fun!!

Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday!! I feel very loved. I spent my birthday weekend with two of my very best friends (and Monkey) on Anna Maria Island.
