Went down a rabbit hole recently on what's been dubbed as the "dead internet theory." What started as a wacky 4chan conspiracy theory circa mid 20 teens, stating that the government has replaced the internet with AI in order to control the population, is now proving to have some truth to it. With the rise of what we now call "AI" (more appropriately known as LLMs or large language models), the internet, as we used to know it, is quickly being replaced with LLM written text. At one point, chat gpt was writing more text than every book ever printed by humans every 2 weeks. If you've ever read the comments on any political post, you'll understand just how incredibly toxic and brutal it has become. Just this morning, I read someone comparing the Canadian governments response to the so-called "freedom" convoy with the Chinese governments response to the tiananmen Square demonstration and subsequent massacre and if you don't understand how outrageously stupid that comparison is, then I feel there is no hope for you.

While the nonsense has become overwhelming, the internet still has some good left. There are still some shimmering beacons of hope left, and @lousydrawingsforgoodpeople is one. I've enjoyed their posts for some time now and recently started to chat about the goings on in this crazy world.
They recently published a book and were kind enough to gift me a copy (thank you so much 😊), and as an introvert, it's amazing, lol.

This world needs more people like @lousydrawingsforgoodpeople so if you are like us and have a love-hate relationship with other people, then do yourself a favor and get this book. by @stackand_pole_ironworks

There's a japanese wood carver by the name of @nikichi0922 who carves these really elegant anthropomorphic animals. One of the animals he does frequently is rabbits. This is one of his rabbits. While I'm happy with my effort, I'm not sure the aesthetic really works in this medium compared to what he does in wood.

Was fun to do, regardless.
